The young woman seems quite proper and country proud, never mind the fact she was as wild as her sisters of she'd not have gotten with Caesar's children almost 2 years ago.

Emerson gives her an avuncular smile. "As it should be, always good to hear."

"Oh yes, the Chief seems to be suddenly popular with all sorts of suitors"

He watches her with a keen boggan eye. "Surely she's not the only one? With with the seasons being what they are?"

" I have my work on the farm and my children to deal with"

"And you are -certainly- not reliant on any one, for any thing." he agrees with rock-solid, almost Iowan, sureness.

She looks to approve with a nod

"Is this flavor, this exquisite texture, from practice or natural talent? Do you bake often here, or is your work elsewhere?"

"Made this here, normally work at the farm" but June Maude blushes ever so lightly.

He smiles with second-hand pride. "What work do you do?"

"Well...." And she relates farm chores, harvesting and more... much of it domestic related

"That sounds like solid, honest work. I'm sure the healthy exercise in the outdoors contributes to your natural glow, and charming physique." he twinkles.

"Thank you" A dubious look but she lets any thing else slide

CC smirks behind her cup. In her opinion, June 's unseelie moments must be far more interesting but the kinain is firmly seelie and tries to act practical

April admits "I do not miss the uneven tans we get on the farm"

"Living and working here must allow you wonderful opportuities to spend time with the children as well." he observes, and sips his drink as he chuckles at April's comment "I'm sure an even tan could be arranged in your down time here."

"No down time for me," June huffs "Got better things to do than act all slugabed, but well, mother helps with the chidlren alot, of course"

"Of course!" he soothes "I meant only that surely there are time when you play with the children, relax for a moment, take in a picnic or other entertainment? I know trollish culture bows to duty, but also observes it's own moments for reflextion and relaxation."

A kind smile from the boggan. "I would wager, and I do mean that literally, that Hearth Agnes would agree time spent with family, especially when they are so young and precious, is worth any amount of chores. The chores will be there another day, after all."

"Perhaps, but today is about Caesar" She says

"So true! To Caesar!" he lifts his glass in a toast.

The others toast as well, and April Maude beams "You really are a great dad, love"

"THank you all very much" Caesar says "I try, but I think the phrase 'it takes a village' applies as it seems we've got enough kids to have a village" A grin

CC's knee gets another playful squeeze.

He takes a sip of his wine.

"Caesar, I know you do you best to travel your village and spend time with everyone." he chuckles "Do share some stories with us of these little ones."

"Well, of THESE Little ones I can tell the story about how Summer does not like mashed apricots"

"I didn't -know- you could mash apricots but I am agog to hear more!"

"More of flavor than the real thing" A smile "let's just say, she may have a future in playing the trumpet. Girl can spew"

He chuckles "Apricots can be tart."

"Summer does not like tart" April giggles "Poor Caesar's shirt looked like abstract art after"

"One's tastes grow and develop as one ages." with a smile "Or so I would like to think."

"Besides" CC smirks "Caesar had his own dislikes"

"Peas are only good for flicking" Caesar insists

"You hear that, children? Father has spoken."

"Ah.. Emerson..." Caesar says as the women glare not at the boggan, but at Caesar

He smiles cheerfully. Poor daft old man....

the kids actually look invested in this new lore
