CC is all agog as ALL of her grandkids are here!

Caeser too! but despite it being 'his day', her focus is mostly on the grand kids!

And even Emerson can't avoid having one of the kids in his lap, Aquilla, one of May Maude's twins, stars at him with eyes that seem to say 'I did not sign up for this party, but thanks for the lap, it's a madhouse down there on the floor'

Emerson doesn't seem to mind, holding Aquilla safely and watching the rest tumble around.

Caesar grins "Whole lot of one year olds..." He is holding two, but has his hooves in his brand new 'daddy foot cozies, that a third child is drolling on. The fact that in the summer like this his hooves should be warm enough is another matter .

April Maude chuckles "Well, they're all here to gift you with everythingg a dad could want. Out of season footwear, ugly ties"

Emerson bounces Aquilla a bit.

CC is in her glory fussing over each kid "I could just eat you up, num num"

And so it goes, but he does get a break as April, a sweet girl as as close to a 'wife' as Caesar is likely to get by now, takes Aquilla from Emerson gently "Thanks so much for helping kid wrangle. If you like, Caesar ad you can get a bit of peace and play pool while CC continues ponder kidnapping?"

"Are you certain? I do not mind staying; Aquilla is delightful."

"I'm sure" She nods "Thouggh I have to admit, Aquilla took a real shine to you" a whisper "Also, Caesar loves the kids, but I don't want to risk burn out. You fellows have a few drinks while trying to get the 8 ball and after that, a messy lunch and then after that more kid swarms. Enjoy the break while you can"

Emerson nods and goes to pull Caesar into a game of pool and a beer. Craft beer, of course, locally made.

Caesar does take time to wash up a bit, changed shirts, and joins him with a grin "Thanks for the gifts by the way, I know mom expects me to believe the kids somehow have credit cards, but I suspect a few had your input. You want to break or shall I?"

"After you." Emerson murmurs, and adds "I assure you, Callidora consulted deeply with each tot, took copious, detailed notes, and used her own credit card."

Caesar laughs "She probably did" He takes the stick and does a clean break, one ball sinking in. He takes the next shot, but misses by just that much, leavinngg Emersonn in a good position "Well, I'm one ahead but that won't last long" He reaches for a beer, "Six daughters One son. When Cooper is older , he may WISH for a all male boarding school during the summer"

The boggan takes his cue and lines the shot up. "Perhaps the French Foreign Legion."

"They could never be defeated, only killed . Bad ass boast" He says with respect "But I think June Maude might protest"

"It -would- have him ranging further afield than the farm." Emerson agrees, and shoots.

"Well, June at least lets he and his sister come here. " He admires as Emerson's shot gets it's target right in.

"Nice shot, sometimes it's hard to believe you have a problem with depth peception"

"Years of compensation and practice."

"You bring up a good point though. If June has her way, Cooper and Theodora will be so affixed to the farm they'll think Kansas City is the biggest city in the world"

"There -are- sights to see in Kansas City but.... well, not everyone raised on the farm stays, Caesar."

"True," A smile "And tthe farm's not bad. I just want my kids to see the world"

"Ah, well...." a warm chuckles "As they say, wilders gotta wild."

"Good point, it is sort of self fixing with time huh?" A grin, when Emerson misses a shot, he rallies up to take his

"Mm. It can be."

"What were you like as a wilder?" He asks

The portly boggan laughs, as rich as plum pudding "Oh dear... oh dear."

"Oh dear, classified?" A grrin and he sinks another ball

"Ahhh... well, delicate."

"I did my best to help others, of course. Had a wide network of compatriots. That sort of thing."

"You had a challenging youth sounds like" he admits

"Mmm. Well, I fancy I made a difference in the world, in some small degree."

"Small is how it starts" A smile "For me, father's day was.. relatively meaninless. Mom was all I had, but damn if she didn't deserve two mother days"

"Callidora is a remarkable woman." he agrees.

The satyr is ahead, but misses a shot and has to turn it over "So wilder you, anymore details?"

"Oh, not much to tell. I traveled, yes."

A skeptical brow onnn the big man "Okay. You guys have plans for some of the Summer holidays?"

"I'm chagrined to realize I haven't asked Callidora what she'd like to do. The Club needs tending of course, but we should be able to take some modest time away."

"I think considers THIS a holiday with her doing what she wants to do" He grins as sounds of one year old laughter and a grandma's chortle echoes in a near room "YOu're allowed to ask her about something you'd enjoy"

"Oh, I assure you, she treats me very well in that regard."

"She worries she doesnt"

"I shall address that with her."

"Sorry to butt in, bu" A shrug "Thought you might want to know"

"No, no, I appreciate you saying something."

He takes a drag of the craftt beer, "mmm good flavor on this one"

"Yes, we're working with the brewery to supply the Club in limited quantities."

"Damn, that's good" He admits "I hope all the ingredientts are legal"

Indeed, the Club's 'limited supply' has been good!
