"Oh, I find the idea enchanting, of course." then a small pout "Of course, if June -was- jealous, it would be so delightful to help her.... overcome that jealousy." a small smirk.

"Still, perhaps now is not the time."

"No? Why fore not?"

His brows rise. "I thought we had boltholes to explore?"

"Oh yes, speaking of bolt holes..." She says "We have competition"

"Not for long, necessarily, if they eat or drink.Who?"

"Rivervalers if my sources are right," She winces, knowing Emerson will feel his hands are tied again

He does, indeed, grumble.

"However, Teaneck, a neighboring barony with Hemlock's spymaster also is involved, and so might be allies such as the DeBukes"

"Hmmph. You wish to let them have it all, then?"

"Of course not," She smiles "But what if, annd this is just a thought, we beat them to it? We'd never even meet them."

"I would have thought you'd let them have it, or wish to help them find the boltholes and Treasures. You yourself are not without a network and allies in Rivervale." he admits this, but does not accuse.

"I mean to use some of them to find a bolt hole or two. And I AM helping them. They want to bankrupt leech. Well then? Let's help them do that" Wryly

"And won't they be just thrilled to have our help?" just as wry "Dearest, how do you know this? That they are seeking boltholes to bankrupt Leech?"

"The wayburtons continue to be a source of information. I KNOW You don't like the professor who is such a noble approving reformist, but he really is easy to appeal to for information at times. And his wife is a chatterbox"

"Professor Wayburton is not... entirely without merit. Just most of it."

"He's learned " CC says "If you think this is a bad idea, we don't have to act on the information"

"Dearest. An opportunity to grain riches and keep them out of Rivervale's hands?"

"Oh you're awful," CC embraces him

He hugs her back. "You inspire me. Itake it you hae a target or two in mind/?"

"Yes, one outside of their fief, but not by much" She admits

"Oooo.... you do know how to tempt me. Happily, I give in to temptation."

"Still in Bergen" She singsongs

"Mmmm....."a soft moan of apprecation as he turns to take her in his arms and run his hands over her curves "Describe your plan to me."

"Well, it could involve tearing up a golf course the local nobles like to use." Ann almost girlish giggle

He growls and pulls her closer, tight against him "A bolthold under the greens? Heavens. And what prizes might lie there?"

"A question to which I don't know the answer yet. there are guards, but it's lax duty"

"Leeches? I mean, are they vampires or Leech's people?"

"Hemlock's people" She says dryly "They don't know it's got the prize, but they do protectt his favorite golf course posing as rentacops. Two guards."

He gives her big eyes "We... are going to evade -Hemlock's- people?"

"Not hurt them, just two guards .They're not rivervalers. So..would you like to know when their coffee break is?"

"Oh you know I do...." he breathes.

"I'm assuming you are skilled enouggh to make sure they recover however much you might not want them to?" Sligght hoof tap

He whines just a little but eventually (and after a few tender, searching, teasing touches to her form that fail to make her capitulate) nods. "Sleep. Perhaps a slight stomach ailment. A headache, maybe."

"Oh, I was thinking a case of the firey shits but if you're going to be kind" mischief in her eyes.

"I -did- mention a stomach ailment."

"You said slight so I thought mildly queesy... not 'did I just crap out a lung'?" A grin "I tease dear. Yes, you know not to over do which would draw attention. If you want ot really impress me, stomach trouble for one, sedataive for the other?"

"I was thinking of a cocktail."

"Just make sure it's not easily investiggated. Wear a mask when you concoct it"

A chuff. "I will do my best, Dearest."

"Or if you want, we chicanery the ingredients so they think you're Hemlock's evil twin. Put a goattee on you"

Amused "Well, we've tried that sort of thing before but why not? No, Dearest, I can muddy the waters well enough. Your caution is well taken, though."

"Well, far as I can tell everyone at that hold willowhispers"

"I will be careful." he promises, seriously.

She nods annd looks relieved, yes she'd been trying to mask some concern but now that she has assurance he can see how nervous she was. "I want you to have fun with this. And.. of course I want fun too"

"Of course you do! What kind of fun do you desire?"
