"Hmm." He nods.

" I drop in, check on her..."

"It's my cousin, Sally Mae," April says "She's good at it" A nod

CC says "Good lord, the DeBukes are everywhere"

"That's May Maude''s complaint" April says

The boggan chuckles.

"Maybe, but their women sure are smart" Caesar gives April's hand a squeeze which delights her. The meal is excellent, the food quite good

"Your property must be close by to Miss Sally Mae, for her to manage it."

"Well, it's the same barony. She works in Rivervale" He says as he tries a cheesy mushroom thing

"Family is worried she's about to move there for good," April says "Afraid she's really annoyed with Hearth Agnes"

He can't help a little chuckle. "Is Hearth Agnes annoyed with her in return?"

"By now, I imagine. "April winces "I would have thought Sally Mae had more sense. Kinian can't fill the roles of the big three , not full time. Were still not trolls. I would have thought she'd be good with an Bachelor in bussiness"

"An unfortunate truth." He agrees. "What is the source of their contention, then? That she wishes to be the Hearth at a troll lodge?"

"She was ..ah, directed to leave Rivervale and go to another lodge that opened up...in Rome New YOrk and... assist a cousin"

CC raises a brow "Directed. Interesting. So, not only does she remain someone's number two she..."

"Has to leave RV behind and take orders from a cousin who she thinks she's better at Hearthing that. SHe's right in some areas...though Marsellies can cook great" April extrapilates

Caesar says "I guess I'm selfish. I'm glad she's staying in the area"

"Hmmmmm....." Oh dear, CC knows that sound, that look in his eye.....

CC knows "Well, it is a shame when family conflicts arise"

"Oh, yes. Absolutely."

April nods "June's firmly on Hearth Agnes side, but May Maude is on Sally Mae's... me? I just... want everyone happy"

Caesar smiles "Because you're a nice lady"

"Taht's what everyone says" A shrug

The conversation goes on, allowing EBG a few more details on Sally Mae if he knows how to work it and wants to.

and everyone says the meal was excellent.

And CC smiles as they leave, and guides her love to his office, not to seduce, but so she can get a drink, and a chance to plot in detail. She'll ask him about it later.
