Caesar notices this "how are things with you, Emmerson?"

"Oh well, very well indeed." A smile.

"I always wonder how many levels he has to his smile, am I crazy for thinking that?" April asks Caesar and CC

"Just perceptive, dear" CC smiles "He's a tootsie pop among men. You get so frustrated trying to find his core, you end up just biting him"

He chuckles.

"Take your word for it, " April blushes

April is perhaps the most innocent of the three in some ways but she is not stupid and has some insight.

"Well, the place seems busy for a Febuary" Caesar says

"Oh, we hope to Madri gras this baby up to pre New Years holiday boom" CC says

"I have a few menu items in mind."

"Heavy on the Cajun I'm guessing?" CC says

(Pause)

"Mm, gumbo, at least. Crawfish. Hurricanes, of course, and I am toying with a banana fosters cocktail. I thought something like grits in a martini glass, garnished with shrimp, for an appetizer option. King cake and beignets. Do you think muffulettas are too pedestrian?"

"Well, I don't, but I'm from Iowa" April admits

Caesar laughs softly

Then he says "I love muffulettas, so don't worry about pedestrian"

"If you worry, I know you can jazz them up" She says

"Perhaps something is deconstructed. Meat and cheese on a skewer, the bread toasted and spread with relish."

The others nod, happy to go with that"

"I think you're onto something, " She says

"Or you could use food coloring on it and make it party hued" Caesar says

"Mmm. I could." But he is lukewarm about food coloring.

CC also makes a face, "Caesar, that's a bit.. Love you son, but we're serving for adults here."

"Ouch" he says

"Sorry," CC chuckles.

Emerson puts a hand on CC's companionably.

CC squeezes, "For perfromances, of course, we'll be truting out the old classic jazz, but also mixing in some modern music in that style. And, well, let's just say there will be lots of beads and more"

Another chuckle.

"Great, I can go as a female jabba the hut" April laments

The food arrives and Emerson helps sort it out.

"Now, now, my dear..... have you decided to learn what you can before the birth? Number, gender...?"

"Oh," A blush "I ..yes. I know"

"it' twins" She says

"Congratulations." With warmth.

"And...boys, girls? one of each?" She asks

"Caesar asked me not to tell" April answeers CC

CC looks at her son, "Someone is counting on motherly love to hold me back from muuuurrdeer"

Caesar grins

He pats her hand. "Now Dearest...."

CC looks at Emerson and gestures to her son like 'well? !"

"Yes, he is counting on exactly that. But it is their secret to keep. Together."

"I suppose it's too late to make another one just like him" A grumph

"Sure hope so" Caesar grins

"I suspect there is only one of our Caesar."

"Darn straight" April maude leans up and kisses Caesar on the cheek

At that gesture, CC raises a brow

Emerson smiles.

OOC: might help if I press send to thee right things

BIC: The meal is wonderful, and CC asks "How's that apartment complex in Jersey going?"

"Oh, just fine, " Caesar says "I had to buy an old one and update it. Some of the building codes in that barony are not expansion friendly"
