CC hugs the balefire, well, not hugs, she rests in it's light, looking down at her leg. Normally her 'satyr legs' really start at the knee cap and go down mostly..into almost doe like fashion... her 'socks' as she jokingly calls them. Currently however, it is bruised, and broken.. and she's lucky a bone isn't sticking out.

She wraps with a bandage, setting it as best she can.

"Oh stupid stupid stupid.." She's muttering.

The door whams open and William steams in to let it close behind him. He makes a direct course for Callidora.

"hi.. hi honey" She says wondering if she can hide a leg in time. She figures no, no she cannot.

Oh dear. He looks hot under the collar as he marches up to her; yep, he can't miss the damage, although it does not really seem to be a surprise.

She notices his lack of surprise "Darn it? who told?"

"Never you mind." Grimly, he kneels beside her and starts to examine with a feather-light touch. "What happened?"

"If I tell you'll just get all avengy" Despite his feather light touch, she is in pain. She set it adequately but this is a broken leg.

"Oh, Dearest....." pained "Let me get you something to ease you and we should seek treatment....."

"Once it's set I'll heal faster by the fire... " She confesses, "I encountered a group of Thallian. The ogre grabbed my leg. It was mortifying.. my cantrip didn't work or I'd have gotten off a lot lighter."

"Wait here and don't you -move-." He orders fiercely and marches back out, only to return with a rarely seen box, a wooden crate with lid. He sets it down and begins working through it. "What -happened-?"

Contrite, she actually stays put, though she does joke "you're sexy when you bully me" Then at his question she admits "Well, I told you the basics but if you must have details? I've been musing a dreamer at that Karoke place? I notice that she wasn't there... she's a regular.. so I went to check on her. Turns out she's been ravaged.... well, I tried to snoop around , see who did this... got sloppy. Thallian ravage to so when I came onto the grouop of them.. the ogre sniffed me out. Dumb as rocks, Thalllian ogres, but they can smell through disguises at times. Mine must have been weak. He called attention, so I tried to pull rank on them a touch of the old code words? They recognized them, they just didn't care. " Dubious she seems reluctant to continue.

He notices. ".... and?" His short, thick fingers move nimbly around the box, picking out powders and a few liquids. He measures and mixes.

"Well, one started talking about how good I looked for a grump.. " A swallow "They were interested. Iwas not."

She imagines she can see little licks of flame kindling from his hair.... no, that must be an effect of the Balefire; he can't be -that- incensed?

"Easy, they barely got to tearing my blouse. I should have run first thinng. Instead I tried a spell to fill them with hatred for each other... two started to fight. I thought the others would break it up. Stupid of me.. Thallian aren't so..community minded. The ogre lumbered towards me.. I cast a cantrip, this one fizzled... he grabbed my leg and.. well, you see the results there. " SHe seems calm now, or would if not for the frequent tinges from her leg, "So I stabbed him. Hat pins are wonderful. I highly recommend. I got loose. And I got away... but it took a hopscotch and a veil to really pull it off."

He returns to her side and gently slides behind her to support her, offering her the cup. "This is going to be bitter. But it will take the pain away."

"Sounds like one of my songs" She drinks it, knowing who he is, what he can make, she trusts him anyway. She does make a face but keeps drinking without complaint.

"Good girl. Excellent." Gently soothing. "I will wait for it to take effect. Where did this happen?"

"I tracked them to this alley way. Odd. I thought some Liam had cleared that out years ago. I guess they're feeling bold again. " She names the alleyway 's location but he had already guessed "I.. oh wait, is this going to make me sleepy?"

"Perhaps a touch."

He remains behind her, supporting, holding her.

"Here in Kansas City, yes?"

"Oh you sneaky... yes.. but I don't want you to.." A yawn a blink "I can deal with them. I can. Once I heal up"

"If necessary, of course."

"Don't tell Caesar..." She says "he'll fuss... or worse"

Oh, he's nice and warm behind her, a solid presence, and the Balefire is so warm too.....

"I won't lie... but I won't volunteer, either."

"This is.. you're right, no pain. I... oh poop. " Then she snuggles as he's the closest thing to a pillow "I think your definition of a 'touch' and mine vary"

A chuckle. "I'll tend your leg as you rest. It's been a busy day and you need the Balefire for a time. I expect you to take me dancing this week."

"Vertically or horizontally?" a chuckle in her throat, a lazy one as she puts her head against him. "i'm sorry I .. worry you. "

"I was very clumsy stu..stupid this time" mmph "must be slipping"

"Both." Softly. "You do. But, I knew who you were when I picked you up, Dearest." There's a smile in his voice.

"Is the pain easing?"

"Gone... barely a tingle... you're the best at what you do." Her eyes close.

The balefire, her snuggle boggan, and the drugs are definitely putting her out.

"Ssshhhhhh...." he soothes. "You'll feel better when you wake."

delicate little snores escape her.

When he's sure, he shifts, laying her down gently and making sure she's stable before tending her leg. He's set limbs before, and tended worse on the battlefield and after.

Then he cleans up and puts things away, and tucks her in 'Fireside.

Yes. She did a fair job, but it's always best to have someone else do it. And once tended ,and tucked ,she sleeps surprisingly soundly, or perhaps not so surprising.

"Rocko." He summons the bouncer who is picking up extra hours helping out while the Club is closed.

"Yeah Boss?" The Redcap may dress like a 1930s mobster, but.. it's not for show. He is that dangerous.

"Get a few trusted friends together, will you? People who don't mind getting their hands dirty to make the world a better place." Oh, the boggan looks -grim-.

"I know some garbage collectors who know how to incinerate the trash, sure" An understanding nod "How soon are we needed?"

"As soon as possible."

"Two hours or less" He promises, and heads out
