Roco maybe one of the smartest redcaps Emerson knows. Not because he has concepts like strategy, or preparedness down, not because he's pretty good on a crossword puzzle and trivia... no... Rocco knows how to keep his big yap shut and give NO indication to CC that he aided in EBG's 'clean up'

Emerson ensures Rocco gets a little EXTRA bonus after the Club closes that night.

CC was in a fine mood and by fine, we mean she's the reason the word tempestuous was invented ! Oh she and Bill have some good tussles... he hasn't seen her this energetic and fiery in months! Is it wrong to stir your lady to wrath and enjoy it? Possibly not healthy, but wrong? mmm . Not that he'd tell her, but the resulting spontaneous change ups to the performances will probably get rave reviews. She will, he knows, eventually slip into joy or melancholy or some other passion- satyrs are like that. But no doubt a part of him rather likes seeing her delve into unseelie outrage..and he's pretty sure she's going full winter court since her chance to repay debts were denied. That wasn't his intent, but it is a perk.

Of course, in between this, he checks on the mothers to be. He's been pondering coaxing their unseelie side, and feeling rather victorious about CC he might want to now. But he does have a lunch with April.

A very nice bistro, then; a reserved table tucked out of the way, and a staff that knows his tastes.

He holds April's chair for her.

She slides in "Thank you so much."

"It is both an honor and a privilage." He assures her smoothly as he seats himself. Menus are presented.

He glances over his and sets it aside.

She looks over hers, then says "I hope CC is doing well? I heard she hurt her leg? " Attentive, and invested.

"Really? Where did you hear that?"

"One of the..." she stops herself, "wait, if I say who are they in trouble?" the blonde woman looks at him

A smirk. "Most likely, if Miss CC finds out. Lets make sure she does not."

"A waitress but I'm not saying which one" Mmmmph but she smiles "I just.. well, she's a great lady and I worry about her."

"She is." He affirms warmly. "And she is quite well."

"I'm glad.." she looks at her menu "I feel absolutely guilty about these prices at times"

A chuckle. "Please, my treat. You deserve it."

"Seems like I'm always taking advantage"

"You are, rather, performing a great service for Miss CC. And Caesar."

"There are times I think so.."

a blush

".... and then?"

"then I realize that's more May Maude's take than mine" Speaking of her unseelie brunette sister

A smile, "Well, she is! As is Miss June."

"June is pigheaded" April says "Trust me. But thank you. I just.. you know, no one owes me a living for just having a child."

"Perhaps, but I believe you could be legitimately be called part of the family. And family takes care of each other."

"Well yes, family is another part of duty" A blush

"For some." With a merry twinkle.

"Well, if it weren't for college I'd be useless I feel. I've been studying though and learning so much"

"I am -so- glad to hear It! I have dabbled a bit in botany myself."

"Oh it's an amazing subject" She beams "Do oyou kknow how many medicines come from plants ? Why the destruction of the rain forests arent' just a threat to the climate- as if that wasn't enough, it could be destroying the cure for cancer and we might not even know it"

He nods. "I have found the best medicines to be natural, plant based."

"Oh do you enjoy basic herbology or..." And she will talk enthusiasticaly about medicines, alternative and otherwise derived from plants. In truth the young woman is very well vesed in 'home remedies' as the DeBukes are firm believers in it, but also thrives in the science of it.

He contributes, but mostly listens..... and plants enough lack and mistakes to give the impression he is a true amateur.

She does not rub it in his face but is happy to share what she knows

And of course, they order a luxurious meal.

The meal is delicious. She savors it slowly, and then thanks him. "Can I ... bring anything over? I ... or help clean up at your house for CC? If her leg is healing she doesn't need to be doing housework"

He laughs softly. "Thank you for the offer...." he is on the verge of declining and then pauses. "... what would you think of working -with- me?"

"Well, certainly" She says happy to do so.

A smile. "W e'll sneak back to the house and tidy up a bit."

"It takes sneaking?" She seems amused

"Well, I'm not sure what Miss CC is up to."

"let's sneak" She says tickled.

He nods.


And once they do, she might gain some careful insights.....

She's a hard worker and knows how to clean, but his insights are useful and she learns them quickly.

More interesting is the domestic arrangement she finds. He absolutely lives here, but seperate bedrooms. He is at home in the kitchen, he certainly uses it as much as CC. Two cars. Neat yard. Dog and cat who at perfectly at home with him.

She looks curious but also too polite to ask.

"There." My, they are done quickly!

"WHew... your kith is known for speed but it seemed like every time I turned my back to you you finished another project"
