"Caesar, have you arranged to meet with Miss April again?"

"I have." He says. "Thank you both for offering to help her .I think if it was JUST me her pride would have..well, you saw."

"I saw a very brave young woman trying to do right by everyone," CC said, "Pride is... well, a strength if brought up at the right moments. "

"Quite right."

"She's got a good solid right too" he touches his cheek

"Caesar, I hope you will forgive the presumption, but I would like to offer you a gift on the occasion."

"A gift? I ...sure."

CC raises a brow "About that... you've been fighting all your life, Caesar. And your reflexes are good. How on EARTH did she land a slap on you in the first place?"

Caesar looks at his mom and lies terribly "I guess I was so caught off guard from it all... and she was just too quick for me mom."

An eyebrow.

CC chuckles and kisses her son on the cheek, "Or maybe you realized that whether you had it coming or not, she was scared and angry and you let her have one because her world was shaking too."

He blushes lightly "Mom... "

"Okay okay.. sure, you were just slow and clumsy " She waves it off. Then a look to Bill , "Sorry, you were saying about a gift?" She looks proud of her boy.

"When you feel it would be appropriate and welcome, I will baby proof your home."

"Wow.. that IS a thing isn't it?" He says startled.

"Yeah. YOu tried to stick a fork into a wall socket once" CC says "Thank Dionysis for Satyr speed"

"Mmm." He does not sound surprised. "Callidora, he may need your key if he is staying in Kansas City tonight."

"Oh I have a spare" he says

"Very good."

As the line to the bar swarms, help takes moves to back it up.

Caesar says "I think I should go home... look around and.. weird as it sounds, take a hot bath. I'm.. kind of stressed"

"Of course, and do let me know when the time is right. The lady or ladies may find it a thoughtful gesture. Caesar...."

"of course it is, and the thanks should go to you for it," Caesar puts a hand on the boggan's shoulder, "Thanks , Bill. You're... you've been great."

"He is," CC agrees pleased

"Caesar, you might have something with Miss April. If you are smart."

Caesar looks at him, "Right.." then a blink "Seriously? I mean... she seemed sort of on the shy side compared to her sisters."

A shrug. "She enjoyed herself and thinks.... at least fondly of you."

"Well, at the risk of gloating... they all enjoyed themselves. That's mission one and does my ego wonders" The big man smiles

A chuckle.

"I raised him to be a gent, you see" CC says.

Caesar blushes a bit "Thanks again you too. I think I would have messed this up without your back up." He waves, and heads to pay the tab...and soon is out.

"Well done." Approvingly.

"Me? " CC says "i assure you, I might have seemed poised but I was at least as emotional as that dear girl and my son "

He takes her hand and kisses it.

"I hope she's as decent as she seems" She smiles at the kiss "It's possible to get one's hopes up so high they block your vision but I DO have a good feel off her. "

"As do I." Seriously.

"That's good. I trust your instincts. Mmm so... I should go do a half set I think.. poor alternates have been working their asses off. Though I could kiss the band for switching to 'aint that a kick in the head' so quickly... but how about you and I celebrate tomorrow? You call it. I'm so happy I'd be good with either a trip to Italy or staying home while we cook up snacks for each other in the buff. So you think on that and decide."

A slow grin. "I will dwell on it." He promises.

"Oo... I'll be owning your thoughts. I LIKE that" A swaying walk off to take her turn at singing.

"Always...." He murmurs, watching as she goes.
