Caesar catches on. Fortunately he does not blurt 'Ooooo" out loud

"Well, if he's as brown thumbed as you say" She says "I could..check in on his house"

"It would be a true kindness to me."

"This is a lot to absorb" She admits after a bit...

"Oh we don't skimp on the portions here," CC says

"I didnt meant the food" April chuckles "I.. oh my. I need to talk to my sisters And.. tell them."

CC nods "Why don't you invite them to visit us as well? After you tell them about this, they'll have concerns for you as well. I know"

"What does June seek?" Casually. "And yes, we would love to meet them."

"June's good on the farm And very proud she... I'm not sure what she'll say about.." A sigh "Caesar, she doesn't see a need to trouble you with this."

Caesar's face falls a bit.

"And if it isn't a trouble?"

"I'll talk to her... I should go" April says then looks to Caesar "I'm sorry I lost my temper."

"It's okay." he says "Satyrs can be..clueless. I know."

CC raises a brow at her son but lets it slide

William clears his throat. "There should be a car and driver outside for you. Caesar, why don't you walk her out?"

"Oh you shouldn't..." April says but before she can protest....

Caesar pulls her chair out, offers his arm, and escorts her away

William finishes his wife and looks at CC.

Only NOW that they are alone, does CC let out the long breath she's been holding "Oh. Sweet. Pan."

"Are you well? Would you like a drink?"

"I... yes, a refill on this martini would be welcome. Bill, you ... I know this sounds silly and even insulting to me but... I kind of need you to tell me you have a plan for it all right now. How you've got it all under control, and WE have it all under control and how they'll come around to ...well, waht we want and not to worry about Caesar or the grandkids.. I need that more than the martini"

He takes her hand. "Callidora, honestly.... this is a surprise to me as well. I am doing some of this by the seat of my pants. We are going to worry about them. But we will see it through. I think April is in hand, May might yet come to hand, and June... Well even if she stays at the DeBukes, that is not an impossible scenario."

"Oh of course... I suppose it's selfish to want them all here" blush "Farmer? wow. Not where I thought ..." A chuckle "I shouldn't tempt Da'an so much huh?" but she looks..happy.

And much relived by his support.

He leans over and kisses her cheek. "You are temptation personified." He catches a waitress and orders her martini. He clearly does not want to leave her.

Nor she him, and the new martini is poured, "You realize I could have trolls for grand kids. This could be a cross cultural challenge in so many ways"

A chuckle. "The DeBukes may get a faun." Amused.

"Well they have one, but not of the blood." A hopeful smile, ,"Kinain are most likely that's wonderful too, or even plain jane little mortals ... oh, Bill. Can you imagine? If we can make sure May Maude signs on... three children to visit when we want? For me to spoil a bit, then be off ? "

"I get the best of both worlds" She delights

"Callidora.... it is possible right now we may see one. May wishes to travel, is thinking of abortion. While I hope she does not, it is her decision, yes? June... I think that is a workable situation."

Her face crawls "Of course it's her choice. It's always a woman's choice.." Then a lower voice "I reserve the right to bribe the heck out of her if I think it'll work though"

"Count me in. They make your dreams come true, I make their dreams come true."

A long kiss, "And don't you worry. I won't force you to babysit or anything. I know you're always the biggest fan of childlings."

"It isn't that....."

"Oh?" she smooths his lapel

"No." He seems reticent.

"Oh. They remind you of..." A troubled look "of who you lost"

A shrug. "It was a long time ago, and different circumstances, when I last considered the possibility. I am a different person."

"You are, but taht doesn't mean somethings don't still hurt." She says "Trust me. I know. I'm not who I was and I remember quite a few things." She leans her head against his shoulder, "I never thought I'd be happy again save through Caesar, until you came into my life."

He slides his arm around her shoulders. "I know. Perhaps the similar experiences are one reason we work as well as we do together."

"mm yes, it's nice to have someone who understands" She snuggles in a bit "Tell you what, I milk your help with the grand kids all I can, but if their presence becomes painful for you or if I ask you to do something that brings back old wounds... you let me know, okay? "

"I will." Gently. "You are happy?"

"Little bit worried about May Maude, really tempted to see what April is like Unseelie... and already working angles on how to visit if June keeps them down on the arm, but yes, very very happy." She says pleased.

Then "What did you pick up on April by the way?"

"She is smitten with Caesar, and would welcome a relationship of some sort. I think it is worth noting he has not returned from the car."

"Oh my... smitten? Oh.. some girls.. " but her eyes light up at the thought "Imagine that...she might even have designs on him. Good for her! I hope he feels the same but likely too soon to say. Quckly, Boggan wonder... to the mathmaking mobile" She feigns as if she might take him offf at a run
