For Emerson it's been a rush of small projects that make him feel as if he's only inching along in each.

News and spying takes time, agents need to be thorough, and more.

He frets privately, and does as much legwork as possible but even for -him-..... there's a limit.

This Dougal has born watching. She's been acting as Caesar's lighting specialist and more for his wrestling matches. And the two clearly are lovers. Yet, right now? Susan (Susian) is tending his wounds. You see? Caesar lost the other night, and lost big.

After any immediate concerns that CC might have for her boy that he could help with, he naturally assumes it's the Dougal's fault. She's done something, if she's Dougal at all.

Indeed. Fortunately, as a beloved 'uncle' of sorts, even if he is not adressed as such, EBG can visit the recovering warrior

And so he will.

After all, the lad lives just a few blocks over, hm?

A loaf of fresh bread and a jar of CC's preserves in a nice basket should do for a welcome and a cover. He bustles up to the door and knocks gently. Oh, the spare key is in his pocket, but..... no need for that first.

The door opens, and the lovely Dougal is the one who opens it. She's got a 'blue collar vibe' but being a sidhe, it's like blue collar one might expect from a swimsuit model wearing a hard hat.

"Mr Stodgepole? Right?" The woman says

His smile is fixed on, an old costume. "Yes indeed, so kind of you My Lady. I was hoping to check on poor young Caesar?"

"Oh please, come in, come in. He's still shaken, and you know, don't worry about that 'my lady' stuff. I'm just Susian.

"

"Yes, well.... forgive me." He beams. "Old habits die hard."

"Not a problem, House Dougal is more on professional titles than noble ones anyway so for me Habit is more 'Master Journeyman Apprentice' than Baron, Knight Squire." A shrug "Better to be judged by your talents anyway. Oh, food for Caesar, want me to take it to the kitchen and prepare some of it while you go up to his room?"

"However you wish it, My... ah....??"

"Just Susan if you want or Susian" She takes it "His mother's cooking? That'llh elp him feel better just knowing that."

"My bread, her preserves." He confirms. "I hope you will have some too?"

"Caesar will probably insist on it. " She assures him

He nods and hands over the basket. "Now, where is he?" Sympathetically.

"His bedroom," She says "Sulking I'm afraid. He really shouldn't have lost that match"

"I watched it, of course." Frowning. "Things did seem.... off."

"He's taking hard," She confides having taken the food, "So hopefully your arrival will pick him up some. Thanks for coming by"

"Of course. Is it upstairs, then? Or....?" He peers down a hallway.

"Upstairs" SHe says "You haven't been to his House often have you? Oh. I forget he tends to go to CC's place more than she comes here. up and to the right. BIG bedroom, can't miss it."

Indeed, for a troll sized satyr, the house naturally has a lot of head room

The boggan nods. "Thank you so much." And bustles off.

And up.

Caesar looks glum, not faded with banality, but it is clear the big man has seen better days. He's severely bruised all over his body, and as he is so big- that's a lot of bruise. When Emerson comes in, he starts to say "I know, I know, I should spend a day in firnost, but I don't want anyone to see... Emerson?" Startled, he starts to sit up right and winces only a little

"Yes, indeed." acerbically.

"Oh don't start" At the tone, he groans

"Have you been treated?"

"it might surprise you to know that there are doctors on site at those matches" He reminds

"It would surprise me if there were not." Firmly... then, perhaps with surprising tenderness. "May I examine you?"

"if you insist," he says "But nothing's broken"

"Hmmph." The undertone being 'you let me be the judge of that.'

Emerson crosses to the bed and bends over the huge satyr, checking vitals, eye coordination and response, internal damage/rigidity, the pattern of bruising, and so on. His hands are cool, his motions practiced and well-schooled.

Well, nothing is broken, but it sure came close. he shows signs of bruised ribs.

He asks soft questions about current events, symptoms, and details of the injuries.

"It wasn't the injuries, it was the fight. It... I was so off. It was like I couldn't time things worth a damn. Like I was hammered wtihout the buzz"

"Hm." He uses his Sight to Ken Caesar.
