The bedraggled woman almost gets turned away at the door, she sure doens't look like the sort of person one wants frequenting their jazz club. Dirty clothes, slovenly appearance, and confused as if on drugs...

but it is Hugh, the Pooka Rottie, who seeks out the bosses and holds off.

Holds off the dismissal of her that is.

"Mmm?" He looks up from his clerk's desk in the business office.

"Boss, boss, there's a bum off the street, but the nose, boss, the nose"

"There's.... Hugo, Goode boy. Calm down."

"Right, right" A deep breath, "I think she's a packmate."

"A pooka?" He slides to the floor with a small thump and heads over.

One of the mortal bouncers, a new guy who does temp work is at the back door, there's a miserable looking woman, the aforementioned before him, saying "i..i don't know why.. i just feel like I belong here. I..please?" She is not as old as he first thought. Early twenties, though her clothes are out of fashion. A bit on the big boned side, but yet she also hasn't eatten well. Her mop of brown hair is under a hat that looks like it was salvaged before it could get too bad out of the back of a trash bin.

"You're sure, Hugo?" Watching the creature as he asks his bouncer for a final say.

Hugh nods. "on the nose boss." The other bouncer snorts, but says "Whatever you like boss, but she seems out of it to me"

A focused glance and... good lord, this is a fae who has been undone, temporarily! He can't be sure of the kith, but Emerson is sure she's one of them. Her mein asleep

"Come in, my dear." He murmurs. "Hugo, let Miss CC know we have a guest, and I will be waking her up."

"Would you care for a cup of coffee, or tea?"

"Coffee would be great" The lady says

"And, thank you."

She comes into the club, the mortal part, and stares, "So much music"

"Mmm..." He guides her around to an out of the way corner and gestures for a coffee set and cake plate.

(As he serves her, he'll imbue the cake with Glamour.)

CC comes down, gorgeous, swaying, "Well well, who is this? "

The woman eats the cake, enjoys, "This..this is what I needed I..." And her eyes flicker and spark as she transforms, from the filthy mortal to...another boggan. Waking up, she does not have the typical reaction of recovery, relief, or retroactive fear at having been undone. She sits up from her chair and says "my son! Oh god, I have to get my son"

His eye lights up even as his expression is concerned. "We were just going to address that, Dearest. Do you have time to join us?"

"I am sure we can be of assistance in that." He says capably "Just now, we need to be sure of you."

"Settle down," CC says, "What happened?"

"The lord, he took my son" She says "His name if Jakey, Jake..short for Jacob. I...my name is Claudia."

"Which lord?" Calm and smooth, although CC knows what it costs him.

CC has gone very very pale, her normally lush color washes out. He knows her. This has hit a cord with her. And int about 20 seconds, he suspects he'll have to urge her to curb her rage which will surely follow after

His fingers twitch, seeking hers but stopping.

"Viscount Admark Steelfirst" Claudia explains, "He said that I wasn't a fit mother. And I guess I wasn't a good one, but ..."

"Oh dear." Murmured.

Now he -does- take CC's hand.

CC's eyes sparkle with flames that make their bale look fury "And why, pray tell did he decide this?" SHe takes his hand like a life line, perhaps gripping it too strongly

"When I was a wilder, I spent sometime with this gang member, leader of them, you know? He was..was the father." Claudia says

"I don't recall this Admark. Where is he located?"

"Oh, I din't say did I? I'am not even sure ..did I make it to Kansas CIty? My last omen said I might get help in Kansas City... then I... " A blink, "Sorry, sorry, don't mean to blather. I'm from North Dakota, Bismark area"

He nods, his expression soothing. "What is this person's House, then?"

"He's the golden owled one. I never paid that much attention to the nobles. Dakota was all lumped into one Duchy but it's been under a lot of contention so we had an easy time until new houses came in..."

"... oh dear...." said with the air of a native watching the mountain smoke.....

CC takes a deep breath, "Surely, someone stood up to this?"

"None of the nobles, no. Even my fellow boggans, the ones in his service, thought it would be better... you see, I was going to let the father see his son again. He got out of jail? Found Jesus, for real, would you believe it? Didn't make any claims but hoped to see and maybe support us? When the Vicount found out I was going to give him a second chance, he thought it was a bad call, showed bad judgement, and that I'd get back on the drugs. His consort agreed, and his knights rounded us up. They've got this... purity program going. Securing Changelings from mortal weakness...raising us right. I... I'm not the only one who has to turn their kid over , but for most of them they just do it part time . It's..his idea of a private school."

Emerson's own grip is growing a bit firm. "I see."

"You must be famished, and I'd wager a moment to clean up wouldn't come amiss? Presentable for your reunion, yes? Now, you let me work on the reunion, and you work on the rest? I can have one of our staff take you to a hotel where you can settle in."

CC nods, "Okay, Claudia, I'm CC, this is Emerson, we run the club and more.... you do what he says. And, I'd love to see some pictures of your son and hear all about him. Okay?"

"A shower sounds...nice" She says "Thanks. And a meal even better... you'll get my Jakey back?"

He leans closer, comforting. "We will make every effort." A solemn promise.
