BIC; "Of course we work together," She says "Just the other day, he and I made the most delicious cake together."

"Redvelvet, mmm and the frosting was so thick."

"Oooo.... " Volunteers Joey at the description, and Alexis' nostrils flare. "Yeah? Poisoned?"

"No, just delicious" she dimples, then she looks at William "they seem a one track at times, sweetie."

"A useful trait, in some cases." He agrees.

Alexis shakes her head. "Yeah, well. Whatever. You gonna get out, you gotta pay, an' you better be able to explain to -her.-"

William sighs and nods. "Indeed. I will, fear not."

-Her- is evidently not CC.

A raise of a brow at William

"The young lady who has taken over my duties." Sip.

"Ah," A nod

"I gather she is on the way?" William asks the others.

"Yep." Alexis confirms with a smirk.

"Very well." Sip.

"Everything that needs explaining will be explained," she waves it off, "Now, I realize folks are treating this just like another hold. But really, I'm rather proud of it."

"As well you should be, Dearest. It's not 'just like' any other Hold." William assures her.

"Yeah, hey, that's the problem." Joey says "How -did- you get here?"

"Well, when a mother and father with satyr blood love each other very much" Wryly

Alexis snorts and rolls her eyes. "He means, how did you, you -two-, end up with a Balefire? God knows you moved enough of them around, old man, but you never wanted to -keep- one before."

"Opportunity, location, ambition, direction, coordination, patience"

Both wilders give her a blank look.

"You asked" She replies

"Huh." Alexis gives her a shrewd look. "Not sayin'?"

"Well, my dear, she'd likely have to repeat the story later, anyway."

" yeah, I guess so." Alexis shrugs.

"Now, what about you two? Any plans? "

(Pause or end or however)

Alexis gives her another careful look, then shrugs. "Wait around for... someone else. Eat him, if he steps wrong." Indicating William. "Then get back in the game. This sitch.... this we had to see." Then, grudging, "You didn't have to let us know, and you've got it pretty well hidden." to William "Kinda cool of you to tell us."

"Indeed," Her eyes narrow at the repeated threats to William

Joey grins at the threats.

"Oh." A thought occurs to the redcap. "Hey. That little troll girl, the one that was on the quest that brought this thing here? She's recognized me. Just FYI."

"You are somewhat distinctive, dear"

"Indeed?" Sip. "Well, I doubt that's much harm. She -has- been told to steer clear of myself, and I...." He glances at CC, amused. "... I choose to do the same in regards to her."

Then he chuckles. "Ah, but if memory serves, the last time they saw each other our Alexis was but a girl herself, and young Sylvi a childling."

"Of course"

"Yeah." The redcap bristles "I think I've filled out a little bit since then." Out of her sight, Joey cups his hands in front of his chest, making a 'boobies' gesture.

A soft half smile, "Happens"

"Do you have any idea when we'll be graced with her presence?" He finishes his drink.

"Nah. You know how it is. And how she is." Alexis scowls. "Or, you did."

"I recall clearly. Well then, I suppose it's good enough to know she is on the way."

"Pardon me a sec," And sshe hooves it out, returning with some cooked pork patties, setting at least half of them down on a plate near Alexis

William and Joey watch her go with appreciation; Alexis snorts and rolls her eyes, but then regards the patties with appreication, and even uses a fork!

The food is delicious, of course. "Simple but flavorful" She says "William has this fancy dish of veal cutlets I've been trying to master under his tutelage. I really have learned so much from him."

Mouth full, she mumbles "Yeah, well, he can cook. I guess."

William chuckles.

"Yes, in more ways than one" devilish spark

The redcap snorts, but Joey grins. "Oo, tell us more?" with a charming grin.

"Let's just say if I close my eyes, he can get me where I need to be three times faster than anyother fellow"

"Well..." Joey levers to his feet and scoots over. "You know what they say about rabbits...." He winks, leaning in.

William watches, amused.

"they go great with potatoes?" blink blink
