"I, wow," she admits nervous "I.. I admit to being a bit scared again," the young actress says, "But then, we all play many parts. "

"And I'm good enough to know you two are hiding things from me," A frown, "but I can't tell what." Magdalene says.

CC raises a brow, "Of course we are. There are things I don't tell my own son. That doesn't mean I'm against you. Far from it, I do want to help you. That doesn't mean I'm ready to hand over my credit card info and my most embarrassing moments."

He chuckles.

"I think, in any friendship or relationship, there are things unknown. Perhaps because they are not worth knowing, or they have not come up yet, or because they are, yes, being hidden....Trust grows. Matters are revealed." Sip.

Magdalene says "My father is still in Liam hands?" /"He is." CC nods //"Good." A deep breath, "His cane?" //"Apparently my son gave that to a group of nockers to break down and use more constructively, or so he told me." Emerson can see CC suspects there is more to it. "I'm sorry you were cheated of your inheritance if that's what you want." //"I probably would have had it broken down myself" She admits with a shrug "it was a lash for the soul. "

"Cane?"

"It enhanced magics tied to lust, made it last longer" CC explains

"I see. Dear me." Sip.

"Yup. You could light that thing up and a cantrip that would normally last minutes would last hours, hours, days... as long as it involved worshipful desire and flat out lust" Magdalene says "We satyrs are meant to free others, not chain them."

"Hmmm...." An agreeable sound. "What brings you here today, Miss Magdalene?" Politely. "My invitation was sincere but you didn't seem inclined to come."

CC takes a slow sip.

OOC At least, I -think- he invited her?

"oh, I didn't choose to," She swallows, "CC..." A blush "Saved me."

He twinkles. "I know the feeling."

He looks to CC for more.

CC blushes herself at that, "Mutual." THen a deep breath, "it turns out there are vampires in this city. " A sip, " turns out that Magdalene's performance drew one's attention, if you can believe it? She's NOT as versed in prodigals."

"Oh, and I wouldn't say I did most of the saving " CC adds, "Case in point, I helped undo a mind whammy with a cantrip, and then, realizing what was going on, the young lady here , in a moment of FURY that would make me proud, set the vampire's face on fire."

He tsks. "How fortunate you happened to be at the right place and the right time, my dear."

"I think she's been spying on me and it worked in my favor," Magdalene mutters

"What a thing to say" CC sniffs delicately.

"I did say 'in my favor'" the wilder points out

"HMmm." CC will recognize his "Talk. Later." sound.

Sip.

CC nods, "Well, I want you to stay here and rest. We have a place to bunk, and you've been up all night, and had a scare."

"I can't, when wake up, even if only a nap, I'll flip that damn coin and.. I told you, be her, and maybe you two think she's not so bad but I can barely stand my other half, and my other half can barely stand me. I don't want her roaming around this nice club."

"We insist." Firmly but kindly.

"She, she would kick her hooves in at 'insisting' and tell you, well, she'd be rude," A sip from Magdalene

He chuckles. "Perhaps, with her, I wouldn't need to insist."

"well, then this is our one chance to insist," A smile from CC, then "Whatever else you believe, believe me when I say both of us are concerned about you. And for you. Now.. go on, I'll show you." She rise, "Be right back, lover." To the boggan, and she guides the younger satyress to the spare squat spot

He sits where he is, sipping hot cocoa.

Minutes later, cC returns "Out like a light. Poor dear. Did not take long, and I didn't do a thing to her" CC takes a seat, "We should be free to talk. I..might have accidentally left that chime over her door."

"Oops." He says mildly, and makes room for her on his lap.

She settles into his lap and snuggles "Obviously we have been spying on her. Either we're slipping or her instincts are good in Either Court."

"Or both. Now then.... just why were you there, playing with -vampires-??" His tone is that irate 'you could have been killed' one.

"Darling, as clever as I think I am, I don't play with Lilith's leeches. In the Shadows I learned some thing about them, yes, but if you think I arranged a vampire encounter just to get her in my debt you're really overestimating my connections. I know besotted out of the blue when I see it. The corpse looked her over, decided want take... and I used chicanery to free her ...odd, as it's normally the sort of magic the girl clearly despises."

"Hmph. And just where were you when this random encounter happened?"

"I had checked out another late night performance. It would appear the vampire was a patron of the arts too. there are some who are. "

He nods; apparently he knew this.

"She didn't see me, neither did the vampire. And it pretty much happened like I said. And yes, once free, she thought very quickly, took out some hair spray, and used a lighter to burn said vampire's face."

He laughs softly. "I thought perhaps she used Pyretics; I was prepared to be amazed at her Realms!"

"Just deadly fashion" Amused

"Fitting." He agrees. "When she's Unseelie."

OOC; 😉 BIC; "I think both her halves are intelligent and not to be crossed. She was Seelie when she siccced that cavalcade of transport on you wasn't she?"

"Yes."

"That said, she's also outclassed," a sigh "I had to make sure the vampire was dead. I've put things in motion."
