The slash at Sparrow misses but she's too nimble, flutering to the side.

Gerd has to rely on her shield, but it takes the hit that would have gotten her.

The clown is nighmarish, it is twisted, it is evil.. it's also outmatched

"You've been working on your shield technique, Rikki Tikki!"

"Still my favorite art work by you" She slams the clown's right flank with her mace. She is not the strongest troll, but that's kind of like being an 'average weight lifter'

The baby face in the clown's mouth cries out "WAAH WAAAH.. I'm not the one supposta die, it's you, it's you! Boo hoo!"

"Mace hurt it, maybe a sword will finish it?" Gerd says finding the thing creepy As F.

"Indeed." Slashy slashy!

Sparrow has not let her skills grow rusty, and it's a good thing. Her first strike severs a clown hand, the other pierces the chest... bright colorful confetti pours out instead of blood

And Gerd slams again from the other side, and the Chimera breaks apart entirely, Gerd says "Clowns" And shudders

"The worst, yes."

"No sign of kithain that fell from the sky yet. Should we go check out that observatory?"

"I think we're clear here, so yes."

And off they go!

As they approach, they see that the Observatory has problems... Constellations fight bravely against Lovecraftian deformaties... the stars are NOT in alignment

Nor are they the first ones there. Sir Mortwhyl slashes and hacks at a tentacle but is hard pressed.

"That's a BIG Sidhe" She says "Lets go help him"

And off they go to Morthyl's rescue, not that he'll admit it was that . After all, Felicity would be very put out if her Knight dies on her

Felicity is not happy about this "Catir gets to hunt people with Landsharks. Grete too. What are we doing? Kitchen work" Well, PEpper did have to step out

"I like it better than bandages."

Several loaves of bread are arranged on trays, and Irene is diligently peanut-buttering half of the slices.

"Well, yes" She says and frowns "But if Morthwyl gets hurt I'll.." A scowl "Stupid Falcon"

"He won't get hurt, he's a paladin!"

"He's a feather head" A pause "And a paladin" She admits as she cleans more dishes

"Exactly. Plus, he said he'd be back."

"Gwydion can't lie, it hurts their head."

"Well, they CAN lie but they pay for it" she looks out the window sighing. "But.. he's pretty honorble. Boy if he gets hurt, your mom will give him what for though"

Looking past her friend out the window, while standing on a stool to reach stuff, Irene sees something. What is... oh golly, some kind of nocker being chases by PEpper? Wait, that's not a nocker. Something else. the creature looks mean, and evil..and was carrying a jar. A glass jar... but the jar has been dropped and is rolling. But there's something, some kind of animal in the jar maybe ? Hard to tell from here

"I think Pepper needs help!"

She looks up, "That's a goblin! They're a thallian. It must have got close!" She opens the window to get a better look "We're not supposed to go out but"

"But we can help!"

"It dropped something!"

"A jar... glass, mortal... hey, is that a butterfly?"

Yes, a butterfly in the jar

"We should see. We're small and sneaky."

And through the window they go...
