He .. uhm, colorfully said thanks and that he'll access but he agrees with Hastien about increased trod guards and no traffic safe for emergencies for at least a week, not going in anyway. " She then looks sheepish "I'm.. here to be an Emmisary from Rivervale. It's.. my first job. I'm supposed to ask how things fare and make nice and that feels a bit silly now. Let me know if I can transport stuff back and forth or if you wnat me to fly around and look for stragglers to. I'm at your service"

"I suppose this is a poor greeting, but you are welcome. And Rivervale is a friend with whom I fear we do not reach out to often enough. We have few trods here, and the way is long to my old havens."

Gerd says "The greeting is what I'd expect from a Baroness who has more important things to do than make a show for a guest when there's work to do. However, Chieftain Brekke does send her regards. ANd when things settle i shall be happy to give you news of how we fare. "

"Don't be so stubborn, Mom!" Nessa is stern and firm. "If your wound gets infected, you'll be out of the battle for a LONG time, ever think of that? Let me clean it at least..."

"Fine fine, but hurry it up." Rose says with impatience "These monsters are coming into OUR Home... and trying to destroy it. Must be from California"

Gerd smiles "So I should get out of this increasingly silly dress and put some work clothes on? Good idea, Baroness. By your leave?"

"I as well! See you in the field!"

"See you there" A trollish salute, before she remembers a curtsey was the right move, sheepishly she gives one, then goes

And Sparrow? She gathers her own arms and armor, and takes flight to the field. Her people need her, and have her they shall!

It should be noted that some of the Afghan kithain help as well. A Jackal pooka maybe mistaken for a dog by chimera that pay it no mind, and Zahab may have to lie, but she can still guide folks to thallian or nightmare targets. Yansam is more direct, joining the patrols and hoping for a fight

Kushaaneh maybe a childling, but she helps the other kids in whatever way she can

Sparrow fights alongside her people - she won't stop those who wish to join, though the youngest are redirected to less dangerous confrontations.

Kushaaneh sighs at that, but Ashblythe reminds her duty is duty and all are needed.

Many kithain of Brightwind are scared, worried, but the sight of their leader actually out and about joining them in battle, and making sure they are well when she finds them holed up, stirs and rallies them. Many still aren't used to a kind one in command, certainly not one who is willing to risk her life for them, and that creates a greater sense of community than most have known

Bea TK from her shop tries to wave Sparrow over to her shop

Sparrow lands - even with her hair mussed by battle and her cheeks flushed, she is stunning.

"I am so sorry, you must think me a terrible coward" She blushes "But I'm not ready to join a milita or any such thing. But I think I can help" She says with a blush "An old knick knack I hid from the former baron"

Clurichaun are notorious collectors and it's suspected Bea keeps the best stuff for herself

She holds out a small bell, the sort that a store might have hooked up to a door to ring when one comes in. This one has no clapper

"It rings so any kithain can hear it if there's a Thallian within 20 feet. It needs recharged now and then. When the Balor ruled here one waas always worried about such creatures and I knew if he found out he'd seize it from me for 'taxes' or what not. But he's gone. And .. well, do you think it might help you patrol for fell nightmares and the like?"

"That... wow, yes."

"Or perhaps as a warning near the hold..."

"Well, the old baron would have simply taken it so.. well, it's nice to offer it" She does look at it wistfully, but with effort, offers it over

Which can't be easy for a kith that that are prone to hoarding. "It won't warn of your entire hold, of course, but an entry way or a single room it should help?"

Sparrow frowns. "Perhaps it would best it stay with you, for protection?"

"It's not going to help anyone BUT Me here." A shake of her head "You know where to put it to good use to help the most. Look, I wasn't going to tell anyone abouyt this, but when I saw you out here yourself, checking up on us all, well, it reminded me I'm part of a community now. " A thought 'Look, if you like, consider it a loan or something you'll trade for later, fair?"

A slow nod. "I shall return it, or pay for it if it is damaged, yes. Thank you."

A lot of pressure off "Good. I'll hole up in here" And now that that's done, and the bell is in Sparrow's hand, Bea TK huddles up

"Trouble!" Gerd can be heard calling out

"Coming!"

And so she is! The mortals can't see the mess, but they do seem to sense it. The town is quiet.

Indeed, she comes onto a scene with no mortals, but a chimerical clown with four arms and a knife in each one? that they got

"Oh, lovely."

"I'm gonna have to talk to my therapist about this.." Gerd says raising her mace and shield

"Lovely lovely lovely" The clown opens it's mouth WIDE, and in the Cave of yellow teeth she can see a creepy baby face, that baby face is doing the talking as it giggles "LOVELY"

"EWWW" Gerd says "LOTS of therapy"

"Nobody likes clowns. It is known."
