Cathir however walks up to Cliff, "You have served the barony well, Cliff of the Slaugh. while the task is not done, perhaps a boon can be earned further if you wish it? Will you keep an eye on this woman in danger should she return to your food truck?"

Then she looks to the Baroness "he noticed it the first time, Baroness. He is clearly keen of wit and senses as many of hsi kith are"

"Yes, Caitir... but... no need to draw so much attention his way, remember?"

Cliff offers a piece of paper with the mortal's name and the car information on it.

"I'll recognize her again if I see her." he says "But she's in danger from someone close to her. They'll get her if she doesn't get help."

"Oh" The squire blushes

"We'll need something more subtle, yes..."

Sir Bryndann takes the sample and bows "I best go check with that house sister, by your leave?"

"Granted"

And he withdraws

Pepper frowns "NOt too many us in the hob nob circles, but I'll tell Hpe about this. Maybe she knows an In to the family"

"Boggans, yes. They can read a situation..."

"Marcella is looking to work with Mrs. Harkson; maybe if you reach out first?"

"I can try, yes."

"Just a suggestion."

Cathir ponders "if they have any kids my age in their family I can help. Maybe Irene and Grete too" SHe ponders "Actually Grete woudl be rich like them so? I guess.. anyway I should shower" She bows to the baroness "Thank you for a good match"

Cliff looks like he would withdraw as well.

"Thank you again, Cliff." A gentle dismissal

Another bow, and Cliff withdraws.

Pepper watches Cathir and Cliff leave, then turns to her "Sounds like the sluagh of the land are on the ball, least wise Cliff is. And he's not a bad cook neither"

"Most sluagh are quite canny."

"But most aren't good cooks" She says "I think that impresses me more. He wouldn't make a bad hearth"

"Well, depending on his social skills and insight, but he seems on the ball there too"

"Well, I don't think he would care to be in the middle of so much hustle and bustle."

"Good point, a hearth has to be ready to be the center of it all" She ponders then smiles "Sometimes I forget you yourself were part lodge trained"

"Well, not exactly. But I valued the time I spent there."

"Well, we trolls are pretty good folk" A sigh "Normally. Thanks for lletting us clear our kith's image around here."

An easy shrug. "You guys are doing the hard work."

"Comes and goes. Oh, Hastien of the Rovers says they had a surge in nightmares. THey got it covered, but they may not be able to provide much back up right now off the trods"

She nods. "Understood. But Redfang and our thanes are growing more confident every week."

"I know, I'm one of them" She grins "That and part time cook. I think Mary Ellen has a secret competitive streak though.. I've noticed, she's quiet as a mouse, but every time I try to make a fancy dish, her next dish is fancy too. When we have a guest cook, she makes one of her better dishes the day after. I wouldn't say passive aggressive, but it is the quietest contest of 'anything you can do I can do better' I've ever been in" clearly earthy Pepper gets a kick out of it

A grin. "Well, I am glad she's thriving."

"Yeah, she's all right" A wolf grin "If I could just get her to go out on girl's night more often. Oh you're welcome too if you like?"

Sparrow blushes. "Oh.. I.. I don't know."

A pause. "Do you think Nessa might like to..."

"Um."

"You know? I bet she would, and if we kept her near an open exit, she'd probably be cool with it. Good idea! I'll invite her too"

"Oh. Oh, right, yes."

"Since you are coming, did you want to invite her?"

"I.. I.. uh..."

The troll waits as trolls are kwown to do

"Maybe.. maybe since you are organizing, you should ask. As... as Baroness, it might come across as undue pressure, maybe?" Fidgety wings.

"Oh sure, I'll ask her, bet she'll love the idea. Besides, her own folks are occupied with Ganbold. Cute little fellow"

"Yes, charming." A wing curls and she preens her feathers.

"He likes my burgers. I'm going to try to learn Mongolian dishes" A beat "if Mary Ellen doesn't beat me to it"
