"Yeah, a troll wouldn't even fit inside." Looking at the roof of the truck.

He turns and start putting together a sampler; it's more expensive than just one thing would have cost, but he does half the prices when he halves the serving.

Grete watches with interest...

"Careful grete" Pepper warns "not everyone 'sees'"

fortuantely no mortals are close enough to make that out, yet

"O-kay." She says.

A quarter of fry bread topped with chili, cheese, iceberg, tomatoes and onions. A cup of soup with another quarter of fry bread. A lump of something that.... looks like.... dried dog food? Something wrapped in what looks like a leaf or corn husk. A breaded piece of something; meat? A handful of fried.... nuggets? And fried... crunchy bits. A cup of purple-red gelatious .... stuff.

On a couple of plates and basket containers. He serves it.

Grete sniff curiously, but looks a bit concerned at the appearance. A whisper to Pepper, "Are we sure this is all food?"

Pepper says "I have my concerns but you wanted to find out"

She sets her chin. "I said I wanted to try it, so I will!" Nods!

The sluagh/chef tapes the card reader. "Take cash too."

"Oh...." Grete digs into her pockets, and pulls out a changepurse. From it she taps out a few rocks, a bit of sandpaper, and a scratched credit card. "Can I buy it?"

Pepper starts to pull out a card that sparrow gave her, "Well, honey.. if you think your folks won't be upset?"

Food truck guy motions the next in line to order.

The Fae in line pay, and the slaugh continues to take orders.

"Oh, sorry." She carefully helps carry the trays out of the way over to a table. "And we get to eat outside. It's like a picnic!"

"Yup" She says and says "now try a bit of each thing and see what you like"

"Hmmmmmmmmmm...m.....m.....m.mmmmm....." She gives it an analytic lookover, and starts with the purple stuff. "Irene would want me to start here."

It is like eating fresh berry flavored fish eggs.... if she's ever had fish eggs; not salty, but bright and wonderful little cells of sweet flavor.

The texture and flavor are a weird combo but....

Yum. If you like that kind of thing.

Pepper wonders if it's consider proper troll behavior to set your charge up as the guinnea pig

There's a soft crunch in each bite, too.

She looks contemplative, and tries the fried... nuggets, followed by crunchy 'bits'?

Pepper ponders this

"The purple stuff is like fruit I think. It's like caviar, but it's not salty like the stuff my parents eat..."

Fried nuggets taste like chicken!

The crunchy bits taste like.... well, fried, mostly.

"Chicken! And... crunchy bits." She tries the soup.

Meanwhile, other locals, mortals, are ordering.. quite a few only order things they know or think they know. Cowards

No worries; the truck stocks fry bread, chili, Indian tacos, and tamales for a reason.

The soup is all veggie; corn, beans, and squash in a tomato base broth. The fry bread is puffy and soaks it up GOOD.

She tries both the crunchy bits, AND the frybread in the soup. Sounding suyrprised. "It's GOOD."

"Yeah?"

Pepper cooks herself so she's happy to learn more

"Yeah! Here, you try the... thing..." Offering her a tamale in a wrapped husk.

She tries it, cauttiously

The dog-food looking thing is left for last.

The tamales are... VERY good.

"Man knows his tamales"

And when all the food is gone.... (the breaded thing was fish, and also GOOD.....) there's the dog food thing.

A suspicious glane back at the truck window- is he watching? Laughing?

Nope. Serving a line of customers and/or cooking and/or tending the truck.

Poke poke.. sniff..

Prod, and a glance at Pepper. "Um. You want this one? I'm getting full."

It is a stiff and hard lump of... something.

"I'll give it a try, but you may owe me" She eyes Grete, and gives it a bite

Meat.... and.... sweet? Salty too. Preserved meat, like a lump jerky? But... chewy sweet bits.
