Irene is fast and bouncy. Like a squirrel.

Sara Jo says "Someone get the ugly one, she's a big target" to the other yellow sash wearers

Irene beans a ball at Sara Jo's face!

Sara jo tries to duck behind Grete, but gets tagged in tthe thigh

Grete picks up the ball that bounced off Sara Jo, makes eye contact, and WHAM!

She beans Sara Jo with the ball from point-blank range.

"COACH! She jjus hit me and I was on her team!"

"And dead " Someone else says

"Oh? It's my first day." She says.

Mr. Biggs eyes her "I'm afraid hittting already hit people is agains the rules. You're out too, Grete"

She heads obediently to the sidelines.

...but does not look very repentant.

Sara Jo shoots hateful looks from her bleacher at Grete

and one by one, the herd is thined

Irene catches and throws - with no particular ire once Sara Jo is out.

With nimbleness aht would make adults envious, a keen mind used to working tactics in video games regularly, and a small target area... Irene is a rock star at Dodgeball

Ashlee hits em hard, but finally gets nailed herself as ranks then, but it is clear black is clobbering yellow

She is clearly having a blast!

Ahslee joins Grete "you okay?"

Grete grins a bit. "Did you see that ball bounce off her? This game is a little fun."

At that, the troll smiles, even if it is on an ugly face

"I guess it is"

"You did good!"

And then..."Black wins... "

Of the three on team black, Irene did the bestt. Ashlee cheers "Go Irene!"

Bounce!

"We did it!"

"Well... "Ashlee says "YOU did it mostly"

"We did it."

"Yes, Irene, we did it" Ashlee says hten whispers where just the three can hear "And Grete got a SWEET second shot on Sara Jo's face"

"It was SWEET."

Sara jo is whispering to others near HER side of hte bleachers

"Okay, we got time for one more game of Dodgeball. " Mr. Biggs says "Irene. Max.. you were two of the last standing. This time you're each captains of the teams annd you get to pick "

"Ok!"

If possible, she picks Grete AND Ashlee.

She gets them both! It's a good day!

Grete now gets a chance to throw at the other side and may find that her OOMPHH serves her well

She winds up and HUCKS the ball... aiming might not be great though...

Not great, but it bounces off a foot and hits a guy in the head

It counts!

“I got one!”

Irene, of course, remains a terrifying force!

"Yay Grete!"

Rampaging as if she were facing nazis in Wolfenstien, irene works corners, measures range, and dodges, dives, dips, ducks and.. dodges!

Grete and Ashlee follow her play, and Grete's aim gets better with practice
