She holds it out, palm open and upfaced "Okaaay. Stew did this. I ended up holding something gross"

She looks down at the small item

"It's the first rock I got out of the coal. I figured it out. It's Tanzanite. I'm sorry it's not faceted, it would be brighter and more like a gem... I don't know how to cut rocks like that. Not yet."

"It's ...it's lovely" A gasp "but it looked so ugly on the outside"
