"Yule star event, likely. Do you think it came here with them? With the assault, I doubt it was taken from us."

"It was not taken from us, it was from their airship.. but how it got in the airship I can't claim"

She nods. "Well, all the better neither the Thallain nor the Redcaps got it."

"no doubt" he nods "But, well, informing those we consider allies is what we sluagh do" he says "I'll not keep you any longer unless there's something else? I know you need to meet with the Countess and her sister"

"No, I thank you for informing me - I will see if I can learn more from the Countess."

"most welcome" and Wen just..fades. He's learning the nooks and cranies here well

Sparrow can hear Siv talking to Grete

And possibly soft snoring

"Countess." Sparrow has found the trolls.

"Baroness Sparrow." Jess stands from the cot where a sleeping thane lies and nods. "Thank you for the rest and aid."

"Only my duty. Perhaps I could show some proper hospitality, also? My steward makes excellent coffee..."

Siv rises to bow, polished and respectful

"Yes, it is. We've been able to sample it, but if you would join us?"

"That was my thought, yes."

"And perhaps I could hear about how things fare at Fenix?"

Grete waves up at them. "I don't think I like coffee. Would I like coffee? Oh, this is probably some Bigwig talk. I'll stay here. In case anyone needs anything." A nod.

Sitting by Siv's armor in a neat heap, and keeping an eye on the cots. There are boggans aplenty, but there is also now one Wichtel, who can fetch and carry just as handily, if not as quickly or intuitively.

Jess raises an eyebrow.

Sparrow can easily see her father in her.

"Well, have you tried coffee, Grete?"

"Grete is one of my advisors." To Jess.

"Oh."

"Been talking to her. Grand lass" Siv says of Grete

A grin up. “The Captain showed me this really cool thing...” describing the war pick.

A slow nod. "You should learn to defend yourself. Perhaps the twins could teach..."

Jess nods agreement.

"You might start with something that uses roughly the same technique, but it lighter and easier to manage? I started with the maul I have now, and it was difficult to learn."

"Something childling sized... we need more nockers, I think... or good trade with a Forge..."

"There are weaponsmiths at Renaissance."

"I would like to commission them, then. And I think there's some curiosity about just what your airship crew found..."

Grete eyes the maul... she sticks her hands in her pockets, but staaaaares.

"I don't actually know, Baroness."

"Well, it should be interesting to find out.

She nods. "I'll find out and send word."

"You know, Darkgate might do a weapon for cheaper" Siv says

"I can pay. I don't need a discount." A nod to Siv. "But if anyone ELSE needs a weapon, maybe they'd do a package deal. I don't have Yule gifts for no one, really. Maybe I can get something for the other kids. Though I don't know if Stew wants a weapon."

Siv looks at Grete "You are a sweetie you are, and I mean that with delight" She assures, then looks at Sparrow "just an idea. Darkgate makes quality too"

"Stew, I'm sure, wants a book."

"Maybe there are books about rocks?"

"I bet there are lots and lots. We could check at the mining museum. Oh.... the one with the map. They are still closed, but if we took one from the store and left money, that's fair, isn't it?"

Jess's expression is stoic.

A glance at the Countess, and she wilts a little. "Or maybe not?"

Siv turns her face.. the better to hide a smile

"Well, we'll see. Maybe we can find one online."

"No, I think that's an excellent idea, Grete." sincerely.

"Oh." She nods, perking up. "I don't like shopping online. You never know what will show up. And then you're stuck with it because sending things back is "gauche" and it just fills up rooms until finally it all gets donated. I like to SEE and FEEL something," A nod.

"Fair enough. We'll check and see what is open."
