Morthwyll , Knight of Gwydion, finds himself guarding childlings as they go to crash site

(Rocks!)

"Rocks!" Grete squeaks, pointing out where some earth has been recently moved due to the crash.

"The stuff on the surface gets worn down by rain and wind and walking and stuff, whatever is in there is fresh." A big grin.

"So you can just sense things?" THe Eiluned girl with them IS curious, if a bit snooty

A side glance back at her, a little wary. "Some things, not everything. Like, I couldn't find a buried miner who got trapped, or a pirate treasure... but I could find raw ore, or oil, or stones..." Thoughtful. "But if I DID think there was a miner trapped, I'd ask the stones to tell me where she was, or find out what she was mining and know where to look."

Ashlee says "That's a cool superpower"

The troll girl, of course, came along too. She said she wound

"Well, anyone can ask, if you know how. You just have to know how to whisper and listen."

"Oh. " Squire Felicity says, nose awrinkle "So it's justt a primal thing?"

A frown. "What's wrong with that?"

"I thought it was something UNIQUE to your kith" She shrugs

"Squire," Morthwyl says in a reproving tone

A huff, offended. "We ARE unique. No one else can sense what lives in the earth like us! I'm just saying that anyone can TALK to stuff if you know how. That's primal - but it's nothing to be putting your nose up at me about."

"We're also good at working with our hands. Not that you'd..." She starts to say to Felicity, then looks down at her own, rather soft and privileged hands, and shoves her hands in her pockets. "Never mind."

Ashlee says "And she's strong too" A nod

"Not as strong as you. Sturdy, though." A smile to Ashlee, appreciating the backup.

Felicity says "Well, I know about willow whisper. I'm an Eiluned. We're the sorcerouss house but.." A look at her knight, and she says with effort "I shouldn't have been curt"

The tension drains away, and Felicity gets a nod. "It's okay. Just, some... folk act as though Primal is beneath them, until they come wantin' your help."

"Oh. No. It's not an advanced art like Chronos or Soveriegn..." She says "but no denying it's use."

Ashlee says "Come on, let's explore some more. You tell me where to lift stuff and i will"

A nod! Looking over the site - has most of the wreckage been cleared?

A lot is left behind, chimerically.

"Whoa. Lots of stuff here. Do you think those Skyhookers are going to come back for it? We could build something out of it. Like a fort!"

"Looks like they stripped the important stuff." A sigh from Felicity

"Indeed, some of these parts are missing screws and nuts and bolts" The Wilder among them, Morthwyl nods

"The deliberately made it less useful. Greedy things" Squire Felicty says "Though.. yes, we could make a fort"

That's when.. the Wicthel senses tingle, as she walks on a chimerical plate of metal

something under it..

She pauses, looking distant for a moment as she listens... not quite listening, but feeling, and steps off the edge of the plate. "Ash? Do you think you could help me lift this bit?"

"Sure" She says "You grab that side, and I'll gett this side"

"Do you girls need help?" the knight asks

"I think we got it, sir" Troll pride.

Grete grabs where indicated, and starts slowly heaving. She is strong, stronger than a girl her age has any right to be, most mostly she is sturdy and stubborn, and knows that if she works carefully she'll get there!

And HEAVING they go and remove drag it to the side. And now.. they can see the..dirt. Okay there is dirt

Grete kneels, not caring of the smudges on her knees, and spreads a hand out to press onto the ground. "What do you have in there?" She murmurs, half to herself.

And she kens something powerful

"Ooooh." Heedless of her fingernails (not that they're more than nubs anyways), she starts digging at the earth with her hands. Or, if too stiff, looks around for a piece of scrap or rock she can loosen it with. "Sure wish I had a pick. There's something down here. It feels... neat."

Mostly it's dirt so yeah, a bit of hard work should get to it. Ashlee helps

And then "Squire, assist them"

Felicity wrinklers her nose, but then grabs her small shield and helps scrape it loose. Okay she doesn't like getting dirty

Grete notes that she IS helping, though, and will scoop away the dirt once scraped loose, so that Felicity can remain fairly clean. A pause to feel into the earth again, wondering how deep the secret may lie...

not deep at all...a sliver of odd gold like material, no bigger than a large nail. A spike of sunlight? No but something like it

Her brow furrows. "Sunlight, underground?"

Honing in on the spot, and carefully scraping at the earth.

It's just the shard, the spike.

Pulling it loose, she cups her hands around it, and contemplates the bit of... something. "You're an odd duck, aren't you. Look, see..." Showing the others.

"It's.. like a trod" Felicty says "But it's not. It's ..not silver"

"A trod for ants." She remarks, at the tiny size. "It's friendly feeling, though. I like it."
