Nope, not.. oh wait. If he sticks his head in there, there will be poison gas

He considers the set-up; given he doesn't have a gas mask or know the gas's composition or antidote.... is there a way to trigger it from a distance, or better, avoid it all together? Drag or Gimix the items out? Of course, he's not powerful enough in any Realm that would allow him to yank/yeet Treasures....

Gimmix would work, if he could affect treasures. Mmm if he could guess the nature of the poison, he could make a counter agent

Could he gimmix tthe poison? Gas state or not, it might be easier than the treasures

Gas has to be kept in a container.... he squints and peers without approaching to see if he can make out what it's kept in.

Now there's a notion.. there's a small vent, very small, almos a nozzle. The actual contaier is hidden by the side wall within the treasure niche but he sees where it will come from

He considers the items in his pack that might suit to seal the nozzle air/gas tight.

He's got gum. I's meant for chrewing, but if he attaches it and adds a harden compound mmm

He regards the wrapped little pink nuggets with pursed lips, considering, then nods and pulls the wrapper ends to pop the gum in his mouth.

He chews, and when pliable he sticks the gum on the end of a telescoping mirror (too small to use on the gorgon) and eases it in to stick the gum over the nozzle. He sings softly; "I want candy...... I want candy...."

CC must surely have questions.

He vocallizes the drums.

"Boom ba-boom-ba-boom boom! boom!"

CC does have questions, but she doesn't ask them.. yet

And he casts OakenShield on the gum.

And it hardens like , well , like an oak!

He looks the scene over again, for traps he might have missed, or other precautions he could take for safety.

He holds a cloth over his mouth and nose, ready to wiggle out like hell if gas appears, and he trips the trigger.

A flumph sound rather than a hiss. The seal holds

William exhales carefully, since he'll have to inhale after. Through the cloth, though. And when he knows it's safe.... he wiggles in.

And, without much trouble, he retrieves he items

He puts them in silk bags and into his backpack and squeezes out, muttering.

He bags up the gorgon head as well, carrying it seperately.

"Hurry up, dear" Says the disguised satyress. She looks like Groundskeeper Willie, bu her voice is definitely the one he feell for

William grunts with effort as he climbs back out, heaving the bags to her except the gorgon one; that he carries himself.

And he puffs up to the surface; her own Underminer.

She takes the bags. Of course William looks a bit like the Underminer... so the two 'guys' , dressed inn mainence uniforms, prepare to cover up their trail

And..CC casts...

Even as she works the cantrip, the ravenn streaks down, and grabs one of the bags from her! Carrying it up!

CC does not curse, not and betray a feminine voice, but he can read her expression behind the false visage. SHIT!

He gets them out of there FAST; by foot, by cantrip, with or without Treasures.

The raven returns without a bag, swooping, even as CC casts again

William yanks her behind some shelter and.. the veil works, the Raven lookingg about and having lost them

He works hard not to pant.

"That... might have been the spymaster" A whisper

He holds her; the Treasure he might have kept matters not. He motions with a finger against his lips for silence as he watches the bird.

It vanishes from sight on it's next pass

And CC ggesturees to a tree, casts another cantrip, then whispers "let's go the other way"
