Another bite and the sidhe admits "Simple, but perfect. Did you help her with this? She IS your daughter."

"Oh no, she shooed me out of the ktichen" Tove says proudly

Briar looks guilty. "Do you think they could tell I stole a bite?" She hisses up at Gwen. Looking astonished at the fixed tart.

"I could tell" Gwen says with a slight frown "We're lucky that nice Hearth healed up the food"

"Not my fault." She grunts. "It was in reach." But she DOES look glad that it was fixed.

Mmmph Gwen says in troll.

A snicker. "I wish Marigold knew how to make Fart Tarts."

SOMEONE approved.

Gwen lowers her voice "Funny as hell wasn't it?"

A muffled snicker and nod.

"I wonder if she'd share the recipe?" A pause "Nah, probably not"

“I wonder if she’d share a slice! If it screams when you bite it, I’ll take it!” Briar marvels.

Meanwhile, another hungry nose twitches at Dagmar’s side. “Do they like the taste?” He whispers up at her.

“We worked hard!” Indeed, Connor put in long hours as a taste tester.

Meanwhile, the teaneck cooks apologize for the Bundt cake that ..folded thanks to use of the wrong ingredients for a fluffing effect...causing the Bundtcake to look like..well, BUTTCake.

From down the line- “HA-“ (and then muffled)

"I.. think they did? I have extras for Squires..."

"Well," Bella says "Maybe this will END well"

"I will challenge you to a duel"

"Okay" Jerry says "Okay. Now. ah let's taste the butt..err BUNDT cake"

Tove beams at DAGMAR "They liked your cookies. I could tell"

Brogan's attempt didn't gell right. It's probably a 4.5. they give him a 5.4 instead because Daireann are vengful little pricks

Count Hemlock's personal chef has funding, a LOT of funding.. FIVE Lobsters died to make this dish. The best of ingredients

Then the stuffed claws begin to clack.

Kerri bristles at not-bring-her-A-game, but then listens to the sounds of the lobster claws.

"THis is NOT Happening" the Chef of Caer Falken insists "IT does not 'appen to MY meals"

"Apparently, it does," Kerri mutters, watching.

as the lobster bits clatter and clack to the tune of Belefonte's 'Jump in the line' the judges scoot off to the next thing

Turns out Teaneck is no longer as embarrassed.

The Fire gets put out from Hackensack's submission... though it singes a judge's eyebrows

Kerri shakes her head, bewildered. "This is a rough year's competition."

Gwen says to Briar "Did you see that fire? Could have burned his face off.. and the lobster.." A whisper "Wait, you didn't magic anything did you?"

And the prizes are issued... Tove wins the blue ribbon for her Pepper jack cheese long cabiN!

The red ribbon goes to one Marigold of Silverwolf!

and the WHITE Ribbon goes to Dagmar in a VERY CLOSE third place!

Despite all trials. Rivervale still does well!

But Kerri didnd't get get a top 3 spot

"You see that? My MOM won!"

She's not surprised at this point...but very, very disappointed.
