Well, when Olgar told what he knew, Kerri had her own reaction, then.. marshaled some contacts and found out the WHOLE story about Kerri Grant, 'Kerri's thighs' (And hnow they weren't as good this year), and a certain Redcap boy who broke the stall and so on.

Anne Marie is happy to fill her in on what boggans know

Kerri listens with alternating looks of horror and fury and amazement. "Well...okay...that tribute by Tove makes a lot more sense, now." She paces, frowning.

"What i don't understand is how Dirk got a busted lip" Anne Marie says "Not like that Pooka could do it"

"I should speak with him...." but she sounds uncertain.

"You okay, beautiful?" Her husband says

"Well...well, I guess I'm a little bit frustrated that it happened, and then a little bit more frustrated that I didn't get to face off against him myself...but then again, that might have been a very bad idea." A grudging admission. "I might have done something...unwise." A glance to Olgar, then she resumes pacing.

"But really what I'm thinking about now is...well...do I thank Dirk or scold him?"

A nod "Ah, well, I think any of us would have been tempted to react with extreme action." He takes her hand "But I know you would have fixed it if you needed" a squeeze

"Well, he's my son. Why not leave the scolding to me?" Anne Marie suggests but smiles "I can play the mean old mom pretty well when I have to "

"Well, that's just it, Anne Marie...I kind of want to make him an enormous ice cream sundae." A sheepish grin. "What he did was incredibly...well...you know." She doesn't quite say honorable because that's a dangerous thing for Dirk to be.

"Dedicated" She nods providing another word "You make the sundae, I'll scold"

"Dedicated. That's it." A deep breath. "The boy will be lucky if I don't give him a big hug, as well. But...that's for tomorrow."

"Truth, I'm proud of him even as I worry" She sighs "I don't want him solving all his problems with violence"

Olgar shrugs "He's a redcap, not saying they're savages, but they're dreams of hunger and other violent forces. They need a bit more slack."

"It is his particular gift, but he's very fortunate that the Chieftain understands this."

Anne Marie sighs "I just, well, nightmare children can get themselves into danger and.. oh listen to me. I know, I know, Sylvi has gotten into her own form of trouble. "

A sigh. "And I know I probably only know about a portion of it. I try not to think about what I might not know about."

Olgar nods "Ignorance may yet save our livers"

That gets Anne Marie to laugh

A pained but sympathetic look to her husband.

"They're all smart kids. They need us less than they used to, but they knwo if they need us they'll find us" Olgar says assuring them all, himself included "Now, you excuse me. I have to get to melee"

ANne Marie blinks "You're participaiting?"

"Yup" he nods

"Doesn't that mean you might end up facing Dagmar?" She says

"Yup," Olgar grins "Or Colton"

Kerri leans in and gives him the kind of kiss that would make the other Rovers envious. "You fight hard, and you'll get another."

He enjoys the kiss, "Now that, is motivation"

And he goes off to murder a few wilders

Anne Marie watches him go "Your husband is a good man"

She grins and nods. "He is." She's clearly proud of him, and of being able to call him her own.

Dagmar and Colton may not think so as they see Olgar entering the MELEE ring.

And Sylvi? Sylvi sees it too.

Dagmar HAS sparred with Olgar before.

Yup

Colton groans "Oh he's going to enjoy this"

"Ooooh...Colton...you know I'm going to cheer both of you on, right?"

"Could you cheer just al ittle louder for me?" He asks weakly

"Well...I can encourage you to enjoy this challenging experience?" she offers.

"Surely"

"I'll cheer REALLY loudly for both of you." She gives him an encouraging kiss. "Besides, you might not have to fight him at all."

DAGMAR, who is watching Olgar launch a sidhe noble into the air like a tiddly wink, may realize at this rate one of htem will

“Whatddaya MEAN I can’t fight?! I’m... I’M 23! And a dwarf!! Lemme in!” A pint sized redcap flails as she is bodily barred from the entry gate.

"Little help? This one is a handful" The fence guard asks the RV crew

Dag is fighting her own battles, stoic and solid - though the occasional grin cracks through.

Sylvi has been cheering her father, so almost missed the guard's request. "Oh! Oh, hey...hey, he said no," she says, approaching the 'cap-ling. "I know it sucks, but that's how it is."

Yup. The guy Dagmar is pounding is actually pretty good! And not a whiner!

“I could beat em!” She argues. Then gets an eyeful of Olgar kneecapping someone who tried a pot shot at him. “Some of em.”

“Whoa. Can I put a bet on the Ogre?!”

"It would be a good bet. That's my dad."
