"But then there's her..." nodding towards Dagmar, "...and him..." to Colton gearing up for his next bout. "There's a LOT of good competition here."

“I know him. He’s the Storm and I’m not supposed to attack him or his trolls. Unless they cross the borders unannounced. Like a raid! Then it’s anything goes!” A blood thirsty grin.

"I wouldn't hold my breath for that to happen, if I were you." She grins. "Who told you not to attack him or his?"

A scowl. “Boss. They guard the borders to the East and south. Cuz that’s their border too.” And a suspicious look at her. “But -I- guard the rest so don’t get any ideas! “

"To the east and....oh! You're from SilverWolf," she deduces.

She puffs up her chest. “Yeah!” Eyeing Olgar again with a touch of respect, she offers, “Briar is what they call me.” With a grubby hand out.

Sylvi hesitates for a just a moment before shaking the hand. "I'm Sylvi, from Rivervale."

And then, as matches are won, new rounds called out "Sir Colton ap Liam, Storm of Darkgate, the Copper armed Crusher, Defender against the Fel! against the Lancer of the Streets! The Little Thunder! Chosen by Kings and ready to clash in her love of Riveeer vale lodge...DAAAAAGGGGMAAARR HAMMERSTRIKE!"

Briar puffs up bigger at her hesitation! A shake, and then she’s up on the fence- not climbing over this time, but hollering at the fighting! “BLOOD N GUTS!”

Apparently, rooting for the grass on the field.

"Ohhhhh, boyyyy...." Sylvi turns to watch the two of them.

Dagmar tromps to the ring, and grins at Colton. "Hey."

Sylvi cheers loudly!!!

COlton grins "Hey. If I lose you spared me from getting Olgar to crush in my head. If I win..well. I win against a great fighter. So this is kind an up up thing." he offers his hand in a warrior's grasp before the match begins

Dagmar clasps his wrist in a firm shake. "Good fight!"

She lowers her visor, and next thing Colton sees is a blur of striking polearm.

Sylvi bites her lip. Briar would see that she looks really, really worried.

"Good fight" And he gets his sheidl up barely in time... and it BOOMS with the force!

“Gwen! GWEN! She’s got a pig-sticker like yours!” The redcap chortles in glee. She does not take note of Sylvi’s distress.

Oh, it's a heavy WINCE now.

He can feel it through the shield and his sword, and counter strokes! His sword slashes against her mail. Some might be saying he got first blood, but it's ;possible she's cracked a finger bone so who can tell?

Dagmar's style is slower than Colton's - but it is steady and implacable. She takes damage well.

Indeed, another whip, and Dagmar seems to wade THROUGH the sword blow. She bleeds, but it doesn't alter her next swing in the slightest!

Sylvi tries to cheer for both of them...but she really doesn't enjoy seeing her friend and her boyfriend really damage each other.

A few grunts when she's hit - in troll, they usually translate as "Oof, good shot."

But while he gets more hits in, her own blow lands... and...

There is a rather sickening sound of buckling metal as Flyswatter... well... cleaves his breastplate.

Dagmar quickly steps back, looking for the marshal to call hold.

Sylvi gasps and almost violates the combat by rushing onto the field.

The gash in Colton's chest look looks like a jagged V...

The Marshal...doesn't!

Jaw-juts and she holds defensive...

Does Colton look like he's badly wounded under that armor damage?

Colton moves, shield up, weave then thrust... surprising speed in the charge for a man who is having trouble breathing. it's a last desperate attempt to win.. and he impales Dagmar's arm HARD. Fortunately protocals in place keep Gwydion's flaw (Not that they admit that) In check, along with Dagmar's own iron will...

and Dagmar is not a still target as she hits him at the same time

Dagmar bluntly knocks Colton back. "Yield."

Sylvi watches, fists clenched.

Colton falls... a stubborn look to his eyes. Then someone yells "Storm, you've done us proud!" One of his men.

Colton looks, pale, but somehow embarrassed just for a section, on the ground he nods "It is an honor to yield to a daughter of Rivervale and scion of the falcon."

"I accept. Hard fight, Storm. Good fight."

"Thank you" he grins "I'll buy you a dr..pepper"

The Marshal yells "VICTORY GOES TO DAME DAGMAR!"

"So let's get that thing looked at, yeah? You stuck me like a voodoo doll." She offers him a hand up.

He takes her hand and breathes "I swear... that weapon of yours is like a can opener.. and i'm the can"

Sylvi takes a deep breath and cheers for both of them, relieved that it stopped there and that all is well.

"'Scuse me," she says to Briar, and goes to the healer's tent to fuss over friend and boyfriend.

SO MUCH BLOOD... Briar might be getting hungry again

The healer comes up. "Oh this is gonna take some dross"

"I got some..."

"No no, Count's insistance" The boggan says pulling out some funny face bandages

Colton sees Sylvi "Hey... I'd say you should see the other guy, but she's not a guy, and she does look better than I do."
