"CJ," Tove says "THIS is Connor. He's a friend of the family"

Connor notices Jaymes looking away and looks about to ask... but CJ is far more intriguing right now. "This is the little prince." He gives a little goofy smile, and bows to him. "My liegey."

"Oh, I don't know if he'll get a knighthood like his sister. We'll love him no matter what" She whispers "But I am hoping he likes music"

"He's a prince now, though." Connor insists. "Because he's a baby king. Dagmar the Just is a Dame and they say that there's a King Jessica who is a Countess, and my friend Siv is a Captain. And those are all very good things. But until he is big enough for a title, he can be a Prince, an' that's almost as good."

"Well... I can't argue with that."

"How do you know... when will he tell you if he's blue?" Curiously looking over the boy. "I was born't with my ears and tails already on. But I was just a lucky-ducky, so they knew right away that I'd be a pooka and that's the best thing there is. But if you can't be a pooka, being blue is almost as good." He runs his tail through his hands, tugging a bit on the fluffy tip.

A smile "Well, " Tove says "he might not be a troll, but we'll love him just as much. He might not be very strong in the blood, but we'll love him just as much" A beaming smile "And you're right, he IS a prince. Thank you for pointing that out"

Jaymes looks proud at that, and nods

"Is there a way to tell? Or do you just have to wait until he hatches?" He cautiously holds out a finger towards the wee one.

"I think you have to wait..."

"Yes. Time" Tove says "You know the odd thing?" She says to Connor

"Roo?" He looks up, ear cocked curiously.

"Because of so much time spent with commoners together, sometimes not of the same kith, it's possible that somewhere in my background, or Jaymes background, there was another kithain who wasn't a troll. Maybe CJ here had a great grandmother who was an eshu, or even.. a pooka"

Jaymes humphs "Not from my side of the family"

"Jaymes!" Tove fusses

"Sorry" he says with an apologetic look to Connor

"Well, we don't even know where the trolls were in my family."

"Maybe there weren't any."

"Exactly" Tove says "CJ might find his dream dance a different sort."

"It's okay. Sometimes folk get fussy if they remember the're not pooka. We have to be gentle with them because it's a tough life." A smile over at Jaymes.

"He looks awful small for dancing, yet." He giggle.

"Oh, I think there'd be some nice parts to being a pooka. But the headache I'd get from having a tongue that doesn't obey..."

"Don't worry, my tongue always obeys. It just takes a more interesting path to get to where it's going. And sometimes there are snacks along the way."

"Oh snacks!" Tove says "I'm so sorry, Connor, let me get you something" She sweeps towards the kitchen baby in hand

"Ah. The long way round, gotcha."

"I just think it'd be cool to be a horse, or a dog, or a bird..."

"Jonas sure seems to enjoy it."

"Maybe JOnas could turn you into a horse some time and let you run..> " TOve says

"Uhm.." Jaymes is not sure about that idea

"Maybe. Oh, haha, Star would be SO upset..."

Something heating in the microwave

"Do you think Jonas could turn you into a FASTER horse than Star?" He was distracted by the smell! "Oh, she would FUSS fuss FUSS fuss." He giggles, thinking this a wonderful idea.

"Here we go, forgive the reheat but it's easy to make.. pigs in a blanket.. only more sausage than hot dog" She calls out "These aren't my creation, it's a donation but i need fridge space so I hope you like"

Jaymes says "Not sure. Star seems to have a gift for speed inborn"

"Yeah, Star is pretty fast..."

"I mean, I'm not super fast. Maybe I'd be a STRONG horse."

Jaymes grunts . Perhaps he does not like the idea of his daughter galloping about as ANY Kind of Horse

"What? It'd be fun."

"What if you get stuck?" he says

Brow furrow. "That'd be a pretty potent cantrip, to get stuck."

"Well... I hear stories." A frown

Tove reaches for her husband "it's okay, Jaymes. It's not like the salt mines. "

"I just think it'd be fun."

A nod

"now, does anyone these hogs in a blanket? I dip mine in hot sauce"

"Mmm..."
