And a knock at the door of the Thomas household.

The door swings open, and sure enough it's Brenda, "Oh, Hi, PIper . This a traggo thing or did you want to see Adam?"

She gives Brenda a smile. Her guitar case is on her back, and she has a paper grocery bag on her hand. "I was hoping to see Adam. May he come out to play?" A cheeky grin.

"oh, he's not home right now. I mean, you're welcome to come into wait but, w're trying to not pry to omuch as long as he gets home by dinner"

"Oh. He's not-" She looks surprised, and a bit confused. "Of course. I should have called or something. He's out." She puts on that smile again, but it doesn't quite fit. "I suppose I shouldn't pry either. Oh, here - if you wouldn't mind?" She offers the bag over to Brenda. "Just some frozen pizzas. Just me being silly, but I don't want them to thaw after all, Mommas didn't raise me to waste good food."

"Frozen pizzas? " A pause "PIper, I realize that I have to work my way up a bit in good graces but if you want to find Adam you're ALLOWED to ask him.. text or whatever. It's okay. I. actually think you're one of the better influences on my son."

She bites at her lip a little. "If he's out with someone else after I told him I wanted some time? That's not really right of me to go calling after him. I shouldn't bother him." A flip of a hand, as though unbothered.

"Oh.. he told you.. oh no I'm sorry" A pause "Actually, he might be with ZANE."

"Oh! With...." She laughs a bit. "Here I am, getting my head all in a tiz over nothing." And she quickly adds, "Not that I should be anyways. He's free to... dally as he wishes, after all." She pauses, then confides in the satyress, "We got into a bit of a... not really a fight even, earlier. But we had some words. I thought maybe I could make it up to him. But no matter, I'll give him a call."

A curious look, then "My own ..views on life have been challenged, but while I understand we satyrs tend to be very .. 'if you can't be iwth the one you love, love the one you're with' I .don't think it's unreasonable for a bit of special treatment now and then from each other. A tizzy now and then is okay. Just.. handle the passion tizzys better than I did" Sheepish

She can't help it, she gives Brenda a quick hug. "You did what you thought needed doing, and you learned a thing or two. One thing you should find is that with us whose passions also flare... it's like a glass house and stones thing. We try not to hold a grudge."

"Oh thank goodness.." she says "I thought I was horrible for ..well, feeling happy earlier aas if all was.. done ISH" She returns the hug then blushes a bit at something after the squeeze "Well, I'll take the pizzas. Maybe you'll drop by for dinner sometime .. Vegatarian meals right?"

"Just veggies, dairy and eggs for me, but I don't mind what anyone else has on their plates. Sorry to skip and run, I want to give a call on the boys." A grin and a wave.

She waves "happy hunting! "

and a few houses down the block, she dials up Adam's number.

Staring at the phone screen as it dims, then turns off to save battery in sleep. "Mexico...."

Making up her mind about something, she shakes her head and puts the phone back in her pocket, rather than making another call. "It's late..." And she heads back home, to her own bed, and not to some other one.
