"You already do I think, I mean... uhm Dagmar, even Dirk is cautious about going toe to toe with you." He ponders "I might be able to work on some magic that lets you know if she's in danger though"

"Yeah? I'd like that."

"I'll work on it.. learning about this art I never.. it's pretty cool" he beams

"Yeah?"

"Yeah, it's based on the power of oaths and the like, but more precise"

"Sounds cool. You sound happy."

"yeah.. I am" he admits "I mean..it's like a weight off in some ways.. folks expect you to be this or be that, and you want to make them feel right, but it's also like..." He pauses "Sometimes you need the love, but you need them to love you whatever and whoever you are, which maybe selfish, but...doesn't make the need feel any less, right?"

"Right."

"So now tah I'm allowed to do what is my passion and they haven't disowned me, it's great." A smile, then "Mind you, I still like girls..and some guys. I mean... I'm a satyr."

He looks around to make sure no one heard that last

"Well, yeah."

"But it's cool... Maya is totally enjoying her corruption and I am not about to bust up CJ and May" Crosses his heart

"Better not!"

"And you're worried about protecting her" He notes her declaration with a smile

"Hey, gotta worry."

"Maybe you do gotta, maybe you don't gotta, but you do, it shows you're solid. " A pause "Hey , in case you're worried abouot me? I'm glad you and Nadeen are dating, or at least dancing. I hope things go well, but pretty sure you'll at least have a fun time"

"I kind of was..."

"You have a date? Maya?"

"Nah. Maya can play around a little at school but her parents would freak if she invited me to a dance."

"Hey, it's their culture and we have to respect that" He says perhaps misunderstanding her

"Yeah, but man... you.. how did nobody ask you?"

"Oh... I'm good. Like I 'm trying to decide between the three girls who did ask me"

"What? " He grins "I..." Then it hits him "Oh geez... your house is reaaaaally annoying, you know right? at least that... lasso of truth part"

"Sorry man."

"It's okay. " True "I figure either they think Maya is asking me out, or they think someone else already has. Or maybe they're just worried I'm too sexy and they'll surrender when they want to save it for the prom. Girls prioritize these things sometimes. NOt all girls"

"You laugh, but for 15 bucks I could ask Adam out and let us both watch his reaction" A grin

Nose-wrinkle.

"Okay, that would be mean to him" He waves it off, "And I do lean towards girls. But I'm gonna be fine" he says "Like you said, I am happy lately"

"Yeah. Just... dunno." Shrug.

"I said something wrong didn't I?" A sigh "I'm sorry. I may never stop putting my hoof in my mouth. I'll let you know anything I learn about May, including new ways to protect her. See you around"

"See you, too." And she makes sure to check in with Lucia before lunch. Zane is the needy!

Lucia is all ears.. and wings "Challenge...accepted!"
