"Then," Etsie puts on a quavering voice "oh my, it's so far, I don't know if my old bones could make it. If only there were a wilder able to keep an eye on me, one who drives the satyr eating tigers away? "

then she smiles "lead on, driver of satyr eating tigers"

"Um.." A frown.

"No?" The old woman stops, "Not trying to mock you. I'm pretty sure one such as yourself is very good at driving away satyr eating tigers" A firm nod of certainty

Dag looks unbalanced and unsure, the frown lingering. "Let me get Flyswatter.."

"Thank you, dear" She says

And she strokes Odin down, setting him on the floor, and going down herself before the cat can insist on taking her lap "Thank you for the drink"

"Tove" Tove says taking the cup

She returns, with halberd. "Um. Okay, I'm ready."

"Thank you, Tove." Etsie says , then she nods to Dagmar "So you are. And I'm sorry my joke fell flat."

"It's okay?"

"See, I was going to go on about how you protect me from Satyr Eating TIgers by keeping them away. Then..." As they get to the door "I figured you'd finally say something like 'we have no satyr eating tigers' and that's when I hit the punchline 'see what a great job you're doing'" She says with a smile "But this is why I'm not touring the standup."

She chews on her lip and shrugs.

"So, Odin is your cat eh?" And they head to the lodge. (Ready to switch to RV when you are)
