"Well, all I can say, and I hope this doesn't come out wrong is, well, thank goodness we didn't adopt both of them" Mrs. Brown says "Because that would have gotten, well, questionable" she peeks out the window where Tanya and Sam are out for a walk, clearly still... smitten.

"I hear you," Mr. Brown says "But Jaymes and ..what's his wife's name? Tove.. .they've really, wow, Sam's come so far."

Outside, both bundled up, Nadeen and Dagmar hold hands. Nadeen looks at Dagmar, "It's ...yesterday was crazy huh? Good, but nuts." A smile "Thanks for coming over last night."

"Totally crazy." Dag holds Nadeen's hands.

"I ..folks are saying it was Cupids, but it doesn't feel..." A squeeze "I've been chicaneried before. You know? Fuddled and more? It wears off. This is.." A light blush "I feel like a sap."

"This is real. " A firm nod

"I still feel... " She frowns. "You think it's... it's put on?"

"Doesn't feel fake."

'No, no," She says "it's..." A breath, "I think it just," She says a bit blunter "it wiped away the bullshit? "

"Maybe?"

"We were together before, those feelings might have been buried but..they were there, and still are. And.. " A smile "I think it's got some new twists."

"Well, now it's just us... like, free to do what we want?"

"Well, within limits. For some reason we're still not allowed to launch McGillicudy by catapult"

"You know, my nocker friend has some great designs..."

"Oh yes, some of the patterns..sorry, I know we varich go on about those, but it's so much easier SEEING arcs and such in motion compared to on paper. Some of my math classes are dull"

There is a satyr, dark skinned with garb better suited to an island resort than a New Jersey winter

"Holy shit" He says bouncing in place to get warm

"Does right of rescue apply to satyrs being under dressed for the season?" The Varich asks

"I'll go with you" She says

As they approach, they can see he's a handsome wilder, older than them by a handful of years.

Dag tromps over. "Hey."

"Hey," he says and a look of relief. His accent is hard to place, carribean somewhere? It would explain the shorts.

"You look lost."

"Name's Lyron," He says "Please tell me you know where I can find the Wayburtons?"

"We know, sure. Why you wanna find them?"

"I heard about the new Traggo" A breath "Thought I'd check it out .Met a grump with flicker flash and well, he'd been in the area but I should have thought this out when I asked him."

"...Are they, like, advertising on SatyrNet or something? Jeez. Okay, if you are looking to stay here, you gotta meet the Chief. Otherwise, it's three days and out, y'know?"

"Also, you're gonna literally freeze your tail off."

"Wait, I need the Chief's permission just to be in the barony? " A pause "Wow, you guys are strict."

"Eventually you'll need the hold's flame," Nadeen says "So better to learn now than later mmm?"

"Well, if you're planning to move here, yeah?"

"Okay okay, just.. any place I can get warm and indoors ? " Lyron grins "I can already cut glass here."

"C'mon, it ain't too far a walk."

And he follows.

"Where are you from?" Nadeen says

"Barbuda" He says "Fiefs of Bright Paradise"

All ringing true "And you two, you have names? " Lyron asks trying not to chatter his teeth "Or is this area 51 of Jersey?"

"I'm Dagmar. This is Lady Nadeen."

"Very glad to meet you, you know?" A smile as they close on the building they seek

"Sure. So - he just dumped you in the snow? In shorts?"

"I think it was more this was the part of the barony he knew best... the shorts were my fault.. should have prepared." He admits "Flicker flash only goes to where you know, normally."

The dogs bark... and Nadeen opens the door to the lodge (To the RV room)

The trip to the Wayburtons is hasty, the better so the satyr doesn't freeze. Though his cloak on loan shields him for a time

The door opens, and Zane peeks out, "Oh, Chief?"

On the way, Brekke has pointed out some of the landmarks of the locality, and she makes sure Lyron will know how to get back to the Lodge if in need.
