Adam waves. "Hello Professor!"

"How are you doing? I hear good things mind you, but you adjusting to your family's changes?"

"Uh. Yessir." He offers his hand.

The satyr grump shakes Adam's hand. "Good good. Your mother seems to be doing well but I know we satyrs can take a while to get used to. We can be very roller coaster"

"Doesn't bother me, really."

"Good good. "

The professor smiles "I think it's wonderful that the Chieftain has seen how much a part of our society Kinian are. My wife has always felt welcome"

"That's... uh, that's good."

"Perhaps I should write a thesis on the contributions of fae blooded?" He muses

"Dad, please don't try to turn my friend into a case study" Zane pleads

"Oh what a thing to say" The professor hurumphs "Fine fine. You two look done here. Come in, get a drink or a snack then go out and do your wilder things"

Adam gives Zane a What do you think? look with his eyebrows.

"Cool" Adam nods "THanks dad." A look to Adam "You want juice or soda?"

"Either." Adam helps put things away and heads in with Zane.

The Wayburton house interior could perhaps best be described as Academic Bohemeian... beaded curtains ... many books...incense , that sort of thing. They get into the fridge and two sodas are pulled out and handed over "So where to ?"

Adam looks around in admiration. "Wherever, man. I don't work today, and I'm pretty done with patrol. Something fun?"

"Come on, let me show you a place"

BIG grin. "Cool." He chugs and is ready to go!

And they head out...

They'll have to head back to Adam's place for the car, or they can walk; either is ok with Adam!

The two of them head to the car. "This will take a bit"

"Yeah? Where're going?"

"Otherside of the wood.. actually easier to drive around."

"Ok!"

At his house, Adam doesn't bother to stop in but they just hop into the car and off they go to.....

around the woods, other side, they park... and Zane leads them in. "Okay."

"Yeah?" His voice is hushed, but excited.

"You know that magical spots often happen in nature because disbelief is less likely there right?"

"Uhhh.... not really?"

"Oh! My bad. I should have mentioned that" He coughs, clears his throat, and says in a dramatic voice "Magical spots often happen in nature because disbelief is less likely there"

Blink.

"I ... guess I can see that. Like, if a tree falls in the woods and no one believes it.... is the tree still standing?"

"Right, possibility is wonderful" He leads him deeper in... "Okay...where is.. ah ha"

Adam is right behind him, alert and interested.

And there it is, a steaming hot spring.

Mostly chimerical...

but yeah...

Adam's eyes light up. "Dude...." hushed and awe ".... is that...???"

"Check this..." Despite the cold... Zane strips down... and one can see why... the heat around it is almost sauna like. He takes a breath.

Adam is quietly impressed and perhaps rethinking his friend.....

ANd floats ... the satyr floats among the steam "You see, you breath it in..."

Not on the water, in the air!

The satyr is levitating

WIDE EYES.

"You inhale... you float... you exhale..." And he lowers into the water..."Ahhh, which is also nice"

"Of course, now I have wet boxers but mmmph"

"That is so cool.... " Longingly.

"Worth going commando, dude."

"Yeah..ahem" A smirk "And...dude... Piper doesn't know about it"

"Can I show her? I mean... even if it's just the hot springs." He grins "We talked about a hot tub, see....."
