Brekke nods in response. "Tell me what happened, please." The please is almost an afterthought, she seems tense.

"Well, there was this frankenstein type monster..."

A nod to Dagmar to tell

"And, like, Vali and Sylvi were doing magic stuff..."

"And then Casimir was in the kid, and Nadeen was protecting me and I was protecting her..."

"Casimir," Brekke mutters, nodding at the name and listening for more.

"Father maybe forgetting more as time goes... it's not longer so fresh" Nadeen says "But we can't be sure."

"The Monster was choking me so I froze him... he shattered, like, into crystals?"

"But they were actually like different fae souls..."

"Parts of souls?"

A surprised look. "You damaged the whole but freed the parts. Well done."

"She did" Nadeen says "She was amazing..."

PROUD look at Dagmar.

"Well, I just wanted to get it offa me..."

"Your daughter also aquitted herself well, the dark tendrils would have torn the boy from me if not for her"

"Mm." Brekke nods. "Vali, Siv, and Jonas are back at the Lodge. I have not heard from Sylvi or Olgar."

"Sylvi went to give the Fate Stuff to Adam."

A deep breath at the report about Siv, and a nod. "Thank you, Baroness."

"The Fate Lady took the Eye Treasure..."

"Fate Stuff?"

Brekke's brows furrow as there's more to the story.

"Ah, yes.. it seems Sir Vali did know ONE thing about the future.. though when he saw it I dont know"

"Yeah, Vali had this Fate Lady friend?"

"She took the treasure where it should be safe and not used."

"Father almost succeeded in taking over the Duchy" Nadeen says with obvious pride "Imagine, every human in New Jersey as a Pre Sworn Kithain in his service!"

Brekke's expression slowly turns to a very narrow-eyed look at Nadeen.

"I think he's very much a childling now, though."

"I didn't tell him I was impressed" She swears

Truth

"Hmmmm." She doesn't sound terribly reassured.

A glance down the hall toward's the Count's audience chamber. "He is in with his excellency, now?"

"She did keep him from throwing a tantrum."

An eyebrow at the tantrum comment.

"Yes. Count Hemlock believed given my father's title, a personal touch might be needed"

"A personal touch. You mean, foster him here," she checks.

"And maybe he can go to Nadeen's hold when she finds one."

"In five years."

A blush "Well, Rivervale has been kind to me, but a count being taught htere might be.. well, political in levels you would not like"

"You'll still see him." Reassuring.

"I agree, he could not be fostered well in Rivervale and...Nadeen's hold?" A blink at Dagmar.

"Five years?"

"We're gonna quest!"

"The Morie, the..oracle.. said that the path to a hold that I might earn would be open in five years"

"Yeah, so we'll quest then."

"See, and that's why you're Liaison now... good practice."

Brekke looks from one to the other, and settles on nodding slowly. "I see."

"Dagmar asked a favor from the fates on my behalf." Nadeen admits "I do not know what this chance will be, only that it will come. I hope I do not seem ingrateful?"

"A favor granted by a Moirae." Brekke shakes her head. "Not ingrateful at all. You should have your own hold. I am glad you will have a chance at the opportunity."

"Whatever I do or do not end up ruling, I think there will always be a touch of trollish teaching in it," A beat and straight faced "I shall be quite the scandal among my House"
