Cause he figured I'm shorter and not as strong to he gets to pick on me, in front of Sam yet. I know what he said made it seem like he thinks I got nothin'. Adam's temper is warming. He -wasn't- right.

"But did she agree Olgar was picking on you? Cause I'm getting a cross wired vibe here and you really pissed now still. and this.. this isn't my jam"

and like that, she's out of him.

It's a moment of disorientation but only a moment.

"Ooo there. Thanks" She does look better, full and lush

"Aw Nab, I'm sorry...."

"No no.. hey, anger's not my jam to eat but happy to talk about it you know? " She settles on his shoulder

"I just think sometimes you see the worst in things when they don't go the way you think they should. It's like you're ready to fight and soemtimes no one is throwing down"

"But they are. They do. I don't have been with anyone else at school, right?"

"Well then. I'm going to head to that lodge and give Olgar a piece of my mind" She straightens her self up and starts going towards the lodge.

"Nab!" Then with a wince and soft "Nab? Are you allowed?"

"I wasn't told no" SHe keeps going that way

"I can't go with you!" He hisses.

"Not your fault. No worries I don't blame you" She keeps going

"But.....!!"

"No I am tired of this..seems like everytime you talk to someone besides Dagmar you get shit from that lodge and I am going to lodge a formal complaint. I Thought it was you being too touchy but you swear it's the other way and you're my friend so I'm off.. "

"Don't get into trouble with them over me! C'mon Nab!" He tries to follow her down the side walk without looking insane. "We'll get more ice cream, c'mon..."

"You think I'm trying to get ice cream out of you?" She says

"No, just offering!"

"You can't let big guys bully you, Well ,not when you're my size. Just about everyone IS bigger"

"Around here, me too, and that's the point! You can't do this for me, Nab!"

"Sure can... I can go to the lodge you can't.. it's what friends do" And they are now approaching the ldoge it's in view

"Friends don't cut each other's balls off! How's this going to look? Might as well get my -mom- to come complain! -I- have to figure this out, how to get 'em to see I'm not gonna hurt anyone and I can help!"

That's when Olgar comes into view

He is NOT in the lodge.

"What's with the yelling?" He says "Everything okay?"

Adam backs up; not in fear, but to make clear he's NOT -at- the Lodge.

As Adam doesn't speak up, Nabuni does "No it is not okay. And..." She looks at Adam, then says "Fine. YOU tell him, Adam"

She's going to respect his wishes? Kind of..

Olgar looks at Adam "Tell me what?"

Adam gives Nab a look like Tell him what?!?

His blighted face gazes at the kinian in confusion.

"You know... how it was wrong of him to do what he did." Nab says to Adam , encouraging. She's got his back

Adam rolls his eyes and looks like he'd rather do anything else, but he says "Fine." To Olgar "You're a jerk for picking on people smaller and weaker than you." To Nab. "Can we go now?"

Olgar blinks, "What the fuck are you talking about?"

"At the lake, makin' like I got nothing to offer. That's why I got in your .... face....." realizing a poor choice of words once committed to it ".... Can't back down to a bully."

"Making like you had nothing to offer..." He scratches his chin, nodding slowly, "That's how you see that?"

" 'I don't know what the Chief sees in you.'? Yeah."

"So... because I don't see what the chief sees. I'm bullying you?" Another scratch of his chin.

"You said right after you were busting my chops. Picking on me. So yeah."

"Yeah, well.. you're either lying on purpose, or wrong. Let recount how that conversation went.."

"My exact words were 'Not sure why she's giving you so many chances, but she must see something in you' and then I said 'Don't jinx it, Adam.'" Olgar reminds, "Then when I saw you looked like you were offended, I tried to smooth things over and let you know what was what by THEN saying 'Relax, Adam. I'm busting your chops. Chief shows Dagmar the ropes ,Dagmar will show you the ropes. It'll be fine.'"

"So, wrong about the words, wrong about the order the words went in.. maybe, juuust maybe you're wrong about me bullying you?"

Adam gives Nab a look Told you.

Nab looks at Adam "Adam? Sounds like .. uhm.. you took things the way they weren't meant to be taken?"

"It's okay, Nabuni... he's young and prickly. He's not aware he's the bully in the situation" Olgar says reasonably
