"Yeah, " She winces "Kind of slang for the 'real changelings' Careful, some of htem don't like it. Most just laugh. And they got plenty of names for us kinain- some not so nice."

"Yeah. But I missed my first day.. had a cold. Summer colds are the worst"

"Feeling better now, though?" A confident smile.

"Oh yeah I'm not contagious if that's what you're worried about" A cheeky smirk

A broader smile , enjoying this. "You here by yourself?"

"Well," she looks around at the crowd "Depends on what you mean by that, but yeah. I'm not on anyone's arm or anything"

"Cool." Sip. "You want to dance."

"Yeah.. sure. YOu know how? "

"Yeah! Do you?"

"let's find out" She moves into the center area where some are already dancing.

Adam abandons his soda and goes to dance with her. He starts with the simple White Boy shuffle. Left, right, left.

She matches him, then mixes in that candle flame thing girls do

Adam's enjoyment, and appreciation for her company, are easily evident. He likes what he sees.

She grins playfully, and when the song finishes, another figure strides up, "My turn, right Emerald?" Another satyr, not Zane trots up, "Let me show you how it's better on hooves" The fellow has a goat legs and hair save for a golden stripe that's clearly dyed through it. He has a soul patch with a similar touch up.

Someone that greeted Adam?

Yeah. He did say 'sup' earlier

"If that's what you want, Emerald. " Adam says.

"See you after the dance maybe, Adam," Emerald smiles and sweeps into whoever this guy is arms

"Maybe!" He gives her another grin and walks away. Damn.

Zane greets him "Emerald seems to like you, dude"

"Yeah, maybe." He is looking around.

"You looking for anyone in particular or just a new dance partner?" Zane grins. Things are getting weirder as someone has released purely chimerical lights that look like soap bubbles in the air... they dim and brighten again

"Uh...." briefly distracted by this "Well, someone else to talk to, yeah."

"Oh I thought you and Dagmar were talking all the time. Been meaning to hang out myself with you more often... but hey, didn't want to crowd you. Still, you seem a social guy, more is better. You want me to introduce you more specifically to anyone?"

"Yeah, I mean we talk and all .... Wait, is she here?"

"Dags? No man, we don't really tell the lodge group .. nothing against them mind. They're cool.. and my friends" He grins.

"How come you don't tell 'em?"

"Because it might complicate things for them . Not sure the Chief would approve how we play with the rules here."

"Besides, you never heard of MORTAL teenagers having a hang out their parents didn't know of?"

"Well yeah, sure... " hesitation "Maybe I should go. Chieftain wants me to play -by- the rules, not -with- them."

"You'll be fine, man" Zane says "Besides, I wanted to introduce you to someone."

"Yeah, but Zane... I mean, she could take it all away, you know? I don't want to lose this....."

A look back from Zane, "Sometimes I forget it's got to be hard on you guys huh? You.. rely on us.. not like we do on you..i M ean, we get some glamour from Dreamers but they have no clue half the time... but if we're on a dial, dim to bright, you're on a switch, on or off.. and you got no way to flip it yourselves. I need to hug my mom and sis more often" He guides him over to.. another girl.

This girl smiles to see him, she appears to be middle eastern...hey, he recognizes her from school... she's aglow and in the glamour her Eshu nature shines through making her slightly taller, her eyes seem to have glimpses of golden roads to silk treasures. Her hair free of her head wrap falls loosely

"Hi. Adam, right?" She says

"Uh....... wow. Uh, yeah. Adam. Hi. Adam."

"Amira, hi. I think I saw you at the sporting good store. You work there now right?"

"Yeah." He's taken a few minutes to 'subtly' take her in. A grin. "Hi, Amira. That's a beautiful name."

"Thank you, it's Arabic.." A blush "means Princess. .or Cultured"

"Suits you."

"Amira was just recently enchanted too. I'm gonna leave you two to talk. " Zane says and walks off giving space

Adam checks to see if she has a soda.

She doesn't.

"Want a soda? There's some water too, I think."

"Sprite woudl be nice, thank you" She bluehs again. She's not used to a handsome guy waiting on her.

"Come with me?" A charming smile.

"Sureee.." Cautious but intrigued she follows him 'all the way over there' to the cooler.
