"So Mr. Greely and you hitting it off?" Zane asks looking around.

"So far, yeah. Why?"

"Just being nosey" He grins "I tried a job at a grocery store once? Wow the manager there was a jerk." He is eyeing the tennis rackets "I think she'd like this brand but not sure"

"Tanya?" With a grin.

"Actually for my mom. Her birthday's coming up soon. Her old racket broke so I thought hey, brand new and so on. SHe's pretty cool, as mom's go."

"Oh, Cool!" He takes Zane over to the good if expensive rackets.

"Thanks. I really don't know the sport well" He looks over, "So.." A grin, "you like Tanya huh?"

"No, man, dude... you're dating her."

"It's all right man, you forget who you're ..well I guess what you're talking to, I'm a satyr we 're kind of wired for non monogamy?" He says "Now, not saying Tanya is. But I'm not offended when guys check her out. Hell, she's what she is.. it's pretty much impossible not to."

"This one any good?" He holds up one that says 'pro' on it... but honestly it's not the best nor the cheapest

"Uh. Nah, man, the legs and all. Nah. I know who..... it's ok. The good ones cost, over here?" Adam shows him.

"Huh," He moves to the one suggested "Hey, mom likes this color... " a pause "Oh what the heck, it's worth the extra 8 bucks. Hey, how you doing by the way? You need a little glamour or still going strong?" He offers.

Mr. Greely is in the manager office chewing out some twerp supplier

"m'OK, thanks."

A moment. " 'Sides, not like I'm owed, right? Gotta earn it."

"Cool" He nods then raises a brow "Gotta earn it? Dude... it's me. Zane. I know wer'e not TIGHT but...happy to help out. I mean, I got family that's kinain"

"And you seem okay" He adds

Adam shrugs. "Thanks."

"No prob" A nod "you got the glow now. So who you hanging with?"

"Nah. Working on the weekend."

"Well, pros and cons, pros and cons. Shame, I was gonna invite you to the Gloaming"

"Th.. what?"

"The Gloaming... it's ah.. kind of a moving night club?"

"I mean, it's not a freehold or anything, but plenty of kithain and kinain go.. wilders only. "

"Yeah?" Zane has his interest!

"Yeah.. it's got a no booze no drugs rule...but more like a guideline... still nothing heavier than pot there. Once a week the gloaming goes up.. word gets out, and boom. Sometimes its at this warehouse, other times this old church that's falling apart... like I said, it's not a hold or anything, but we put up shit, get some tunes on... oh one time we had a band. "

"Yeah? Well... I could show."

"If, ya know."

"If I know where it is tonight you mean?" He asks

"Well... I get off work at 6. So... yeah?"

"Oh cool! Tonight it['s at the deserted fireworks tent... don't worry, it's huge and it covers a lot" He names the area "Just be careful when you park your car on the gravel. It can spit into your under carriage"

"Yeah, cool! Dude...." To Zane "DUDE...."

"What?" A grin "No big man. You might hear about it eventually."

"Thanks! You going?"

"Yah, it's why I mentioned it" A grin "I'm heading there now. Helping set up"

"Damn. I'd come but......"

"No no it'll be there.. no hurry"

"Yeah, but.... ok. After work. You want this racquet?"

"yeah, ring me up" He reaches for his wallet

"I get you the employee discount." murmured as he rings it through.

"Dude! Thanks!"

"Nothin'" Adam fixes it.

"See you at the Gloaming... " And out Zane goes...

"Hey, you... " she notices she's being dodged. And...with a breath, finds a single golf tack, and puts it on the counter.
