Lupe says "Hey, Sam, what happened?" She gets a cloth "your war paint got smudged, some jack ass mess with it?"

"It was a stupid idea. I can't.. can't get it off right..."

Adam rocks on...and gets shoulder checked into a locker

"Welcome to school, Douche" Dirk grins at him, his unholy visage a smile, then in a lower voice "You break any of the 'real' rules. I'll find out."

"You mess with me, I mess with you." Adam promises softly.

Zane says "Well.. I guess it's just normally to do that you need motivation ... no harm done. so I guessed wrong with her."

Lucia goes "Zane, you didn't TELL her this theory?"

"Well, yeah.." Zane says "I was curious on who the lucky guy or girl was and.." Shrug

"Oh, I'm shaking" Dirk says

Sylvi facepalms. "Dammit. Zane...sometimes you drive me crazy."

Adam shrugs, and in so doing moves Dirk away. "Give me a reason, fairy."

Lupe says "I'm not good at this either... but I know how to remove it. Hold still just a bit. Did someone MAKE you put make up on? Then yeah, stupid. Did you WANT to try it? Then it's not stupid at all. Amazons wear the war paint they want , right?"

Dirk looks at him, "Don't make me make you wet yourself on your first day, Adam. My kith got a gift for finding what scares folks most..."

"Wanna say that louder, Dic... Dirk?" Adam steps closer.

"I hope she's not...Oh...Oh, Crap!" Sylvi's plunging through the hall crowd, but she's got her bright cheerleader smile on by the time she gets to her targets. "Adam! Dirk! Hey, guys! Happy first day, huh?"

Dirk looks Adam right in the face, and there is something truly alarming, increasingly scary about that look, "I said... your mom's such a milf... I bet she tastes great... on toast. You want me to find out? "

For a moment, Adam feels his resolve falter, but he masks his fear and holds on and.. Sylvi's between them.

Dirk's almost bone chilling gaze fades a bit as Sylvi gets in the path of it, and he says "Mr. Special here acting like he can break the rules if he wants. I'm just looking out for us, Sylvi. "

But he does back up a step for Sylvi's sake

Adam steps into the space Dirk makes, not giving an inch.

"Who upset you?" Lupe says

Shrug.

Dirk says "Oh I backed up... and you gonna come at? It's on.." He starts to get nose to nose with Adam again

Sylvi puts her hand on Adam's chest and stares at him. "Were you born a jerk? Back up!"

"Great.. which boy? I want name, location, a place I can deliver the body" Lupita asays

A crowd is starting to gather as Dirk and Adam look really close to a fight

Then she turns to Dirk, still trying to stay between them. "I swear, you two don't cut this shit right now, this is going to go way above my pay grade."

Adam grits his teeth and fronts this kid..... then Sylvi stops him. "What? Oh, yeah....... yeah, fine." To Dirk "Let the hot girl save you...." And he walks away.

Dirk snorts "It aint' my ass what got saved, freak"

Sylvi glares at him and pushes him back a few paces, she leans close to whisper, "You wanna know why you're not invited? This kind of crap is not helping."

A soft, somewhat disappointed sound goes unheard from within a locker, and then whoever it was squirms off before he's late to Trig...

The boy turns and snarls....... but then snorts and moves on.

Sylvi frowns as Adam stalks off. Then she goes back to Dirk. "What happened?"

"Well, I shoved him into a locker lightly cus I needed his attention... then I tell him ont to break any of the real rules or else cause I'm watching... you know, like the cops do." Dirk explains "Then he says "you mess with me I mess with you.. .like he's gonna expose me or something... I told him I was shaking.. and he called me a fairy. "

"So...you started something, then kept it up? Dirk...come on, why make things more difficult?"

"Because that fuckup is going to get us all killed if we don't step on him hard. the boss bends over backwards for him, he whines an bitches... he's on everybody and everything like we owe him. He ain't earned shit, and acts like not getting everything is some big crime... if he wants to act like a profesional victim? Well.. I'm going to teach him what a real victim goes through."

Sylvi takes a deep breath, then lets it out. "Listen. I get it. He pisses me off, too. But starting stuff with him is not the way to fix this. And we've gotta fix it, but you just made it more likely he's going to target you. Then I will have to rescue you." She grins at that last part. "Come on...lay off him for now, okay?" A sigh. "I'm going to be late for class...."
