Time to go knead some clay. A lot of clay.

Squishy, yet resistant, and punchable clay!

SO punchable!

Gladiola rubs at her horns and then takes a deep cleansing breath, and moves on with Art and Fornax

-------Gone, to ER (and to Studio for Clay Abuse)-------

After the clay is beaten into submission. Thistle is at the wheel.

First a ball. Then, she pokes her thumb into the middle to slowly pull the clay out into a bowl - even with her love of asymmetry, the wheel demands balance lest the clay launch airborne.

It grows slowly - expanding out and up, growing thinner, before she gently collects the rim back towards center.

Muppet observes

And nibbles at his haunch

Thistle's feet work in a steady rhythm, turning the wheel as she throws the first pot.

As Thistle works , Muppet's ears tilt as if he can hear a kind of music to her creation. The steady rhtym, the thump of thrown clay

The creak of the wheel, and the nocker's soft muttering to herself...

Yup. Kind of musical

And the Nevers think so, a few doing a kind of foxtrot

The work doesn't hurt her mood, letting her find a meditative place.

And, glamour might even build up inside of her as the creative muse rises

Right now, in the zone, she's just creating. No Blaine to comment, nobody else to look at her work or judge her...

And in that, there's freedom.

And beauty as well

An odd beauty, perhaps - after casting a series of hollow "eggs," Thistle then takes them and manipulates the clay... letting them take on more amorphous shapes, creating a sense of movement.

Some, she paints with slip. Others, she textures with tools.

The colors of her mood seem to have ingrained, but mood shift, so do the colors.... vibrant frustration all the way serenity of creation

and then there's her will, the painting over those colors, that shows with slip and texture

She uses a dull knife to cut out organic entrances to the ceramic "caves," ones that harmonize with the overall shape. Wetting down her fingers and a sponge allows her to smooth and round the cut edge...

Hours slip by. One pod gets a trail of Never footprints left in the wet slip, and Thistle leaves them be to dry.

Muppet wags. He could press a paw against one if she likes

She lets him!

And dutifully, with just enough pressure, he puts his paw against one and then pulls it back . He looks at her and wags. Was he a good boy?

She flashes him a shark-toothed grin, and uses a relatively-clean elbow to pet him between the ears (her hands are covered in clay....)

Ah BLISS

"Y'ain't half-bad, mutt."

Wag wag.. Muppet thinks she's the best too

"Hello?" a voice says

"BeeeeeeeeeP"

"Uh - hello?"

Rochallor peeks in "Ah, Joe was hoping you could help with the thing?" He looks worried.

"...The thing? What thing?"

"Well, you like the shiney ones and they like you... and if I told Briar she'd eat it"

She squints. "You found a chimera?"

"Not me. Joe did "

"...Right. Joe needs help. With a chimera." She goes over to the slop sink.

"Anything else Joe tell you about it?"

"It's playing the drums with its head"

"Uh..."

"I'd tell blossom, but I think she'd hunt it"

The boy looks worried and peeks outside

"Also it might take a poop in that old cab"

She raises an eyebrow at that. "If it does, you get to clean it up."

She's still got a fair amount of mud on her, but she did wash off her hands. "Okay, show me this beastie."
