"You stick tomatoes in the bowl, you'll get seeds and skin all mixed in. Who wants seeds in their teeth? Nah."

"So.. some kind of filter?" Dubious

"Food mill. I thought I saw a hand-cranked one..." She pops off to the cupboards, opening and shutting them in her quest.

"Uhm.. " Not sure what she should do about this if anything

She finds what she was looking for - a cone of some kind of metal mesh?

She makes a mental note to be ready to go pick up replacements

There's more dis-and-re-assembly as she works to make the manual food mill compatible with the industrial mixer.

The troll readies to hand over more tools as called for

In the end, it takes some duct tape, the ring section of a mason jar lid, and some purloined bobby pins to make it FIT.

When it seems it might not, Thistle just GLARES until the bits and bobs comply.

"Okay, taht's neat" She wishes she could make things do what she wanted like that with a glare

"Gotta show it who's boss."

A good whack, and she turns it on to watch the mechanism work.

"Huh, that sounds pretty smooth"

"Well, yeah, because I fixed the ($(&)((_&^^ fercacta sad-sack excuses for bearings..."

A bit of a smile, then a nod "you did"

She puts the casing back on, then fusses as it refuses to go perfectly flush.

"Shall I put it back down for you? still heavy"

"(*^^% yeah, I mean, yes, it needs a good furkin' ballast so it doesn't shake itself apart, but they COULD have put anchor points on instead of making it weight as much as your granite arse."

A smile and she grabs it gently and takes it down "Yeah, but it's a toned granite ass"

There's some scuffing noise outside on the back step.

She nods. "Yeah, yeah... " A frown at the casing seam. She pokes at it.

One Never chimes ("!!?") and a second joins in, as the buzz to investigate the noise.

"It's fine" The troll says "I think and.." She turns her head at the noise "Hello?"

The door scrapes open a little, Willy looks in and.... FACEFUL OF NEVER!!

Willy is inspected! She has spirals and fluffy hair but is Not Katrina.

The little sillies circle her before buzzing back to the fledge to report!

"Ack.. yes, yes, that's Willy. Yes, I've met her."

"Hi, Willy" Gladiola aka Gwen waves

"FAHHHH!!!!" She bats at them, but misses "What the hell, numbnuts??"

One Never blows a raspberry at Willy!

Thistle waves at the glowing Nevers like she's trying to shoo away flies.

"That's Dame Numbnuts to you if your'e talking to me" Wryly "Thistle here was just fixing something for Marigold"

"Come in to get somethin' ta eat and get attacked......" she grumbles.

"Yeah? What? New hip?"

"Sorry. They just... the little ferberschmeckles have a thing about my hair, I think? And they follow me around."

Thistle has machine grease smudged on her clothes and hands (and a little on her face). She's still futzing at an industrial-style mixer that appears to have had a vintage manual food mill grafted on.

"Mmph." she squints at it, but goes on about getting something to eat.

Plenty of food kept ready for those who want to snack

"*&^%$& *&^^%( casing won't go flush."

"Try the toilet?" she cackles.

"Not that kinda flush, you ankle."

"Hey, it's fine. It's better than it was, I bet Marigold will love it"

"But it should fit. I ain't changed anything there..." She scrapes at the join with a fingernail.

"Clownshoe." she says, taking another bite of... well, whatever she found.

"Amoeba."

Oooohm.. Ooooohm.... Oohmmm okay so that's not her culture, but maybe it will help
