"We heal almost as fast as we get hurt, unless it's something really bad. Fire, wyrm-taint, someone else's claws, gold...." A shudder. "That takes longer, but a few days and we're back on our feet. But mortal stuff can't hardly bother us."

"Must be nice."

A pause, and her head tilts. "You're not going to go on and tell folk my stories now, are you? Me, I'm practically pack with Wolf Lake. And you are two, and that makes us buds."

"I really wish I could introduce you to an Eshu. Now they collect and tell stories and travel." D'Lorean says then she sighs "alas, I can't take you all the way to our caern so to speak.. or at least, not HIS caern I should say" A glance at the Baron

"Not so sure I'd be ready for that. Those who go into the fairy mounds may be there for an hour of a hundred years. I don't think I'm ready for that kind of commitment." A laugh! "You call me, though. I'm not old school like those Fangs, I have an iPhone." And she shares the number.

"Sure will, you're buying me a dinner later this week, remember?" A grin

A grin. "You got it. And you, Miss Sam-Dagmar, I owe you. If you hadn't let me out, I'd have starved to death in a gilded cage. Not a fun way to go. With my healing, it might have taken weeks. I hope conning those wolves into extra gifts is a good start to make up for it."

Dag smiles. "It's pretty cool. Anti-rage magic flute, c'mon!"

"..I may have paid too much..."

"You might have. See the way their eyes lit up?"

A laugh! "If those fairy trinkets are easy to come by, don't you go letting them know. Fair is fair, and wolves can make new fetishes with just a bit of luck, time, and favor with a spirit."

"Don't let them buy you off cheap."

"Not that easy, but... listen, like... I don't want to hurt a friend if I blow my top, and it's scary when it happens."

D'Lorean says "Hey, speaking as a friend, I totally get that"

"I'll give you a tip for free." She taps her nose. "Those of us who have the know of it, we can smell out other magic folk. Once we've met one and got their scent, we can tell them again, if we think it look. Can't SEE like with a trinket, but we can tell if you have the Fair touch, same as we could sniff out a Sorcerer or a vampire. Granted, we have to look."

"I mean, I've managed to fight the wolves when they're in their BIG form, so you can figure what that means for someone little like Dee..."

"And one more tip. If you have to fight a wolf - don't!" A grin. "Get them to fight on your side, or not at all. Even I can't go toe to toe with the least cub. I might be able to take on a mortal, but birds are flimsy." She eyes Dee/Lavender. "She's not so small. And quick is good too!"

"You've fought them? And All your arms and legs still attached?" Clearly impressed.

"Yeah, I prefer not to fight them. They're FAST."

"Silver tipped lance and if that doesn't work, run" Wryly

A grin. She straightens her jacket a bit, and the trinkets and tokens on it jingle a little. "I always keep a bit about. Not to fight with, but because it makes them so FUSSY. They hate that we can touch Luna's metal and they can't."

"I don't recommend you try it though, unless you can reach a tree branch out of reach."

"Yeah, not looking to get into a scrap with a big furry chainsaw."

"I just wantted my Baron back. It's hard to explain unless you have a leader who has looked out for you"

Her head tilts. "We don't much go by pack hierarchy, fledglings get a bit of advice then the boot to figure it out, because a raven that can't learn on the fly isn't worth the feathers they're made of. ...but I get it. Family is family, whatever shape."

"I'd best be on my way. I have to pass the news on about the bane defeated and Half-Moon's triumph. A good howl in her honor will restore me in my good graces." Pondering. "You want I should leave your names out of it?"

She nods. "And when you find it, you protect it."

"Well.. c'mon, probably looks goo d to you that you got rescued by a giant and a satyress."

"And you can't have our names, since we're fairies. So... y'know, azure warrior and armored maenad on steeds of ebon and ivory..."

"Oh, I'm not NOT telling that story. But if you want, it can be nameless. We're secret sniffers, no one can keep a tale from a Corax. But believe it or not, and many would NOT, I can be discrete. And I know fairies have a thing about names." She nods, agreeing.

"tell them knights of Silverwolf and the Vale and river, one a daughter of Pan, the other a Giant , assisted. "

"I will. And next time, I'll find out more! Nevara Brightwing knows you now, so there's no getting rid of me." A rather ominous proclamation, for all that she grins. "Even if your magic fades, I'll find you again! And that's a promise."

"You know something? I believe you" A grin "Thank you again, Nevara, we might not have been able to do this without you"

"Totally wouldn't have. Thank you."

"I wonder if I can rhyme 'mighty' with 'fighty'..." She muses, then grins. And with a leap from Snowthorn's back, she takes on her Raven form - ah, feathers now glossy and fully returned, and flaps off with a farewell caw.

"Ok, that's awesome."

"I like her" D'Lorean says "I really do. " A grin, then she looks at Dagmar "Good instincts in freeing her"

"Well, I thought she was a bird..."

"And you're a soft touch for critters" A nod

"Look, your call if you want to come with me all the way to the Hold. I can't say I know how Dame Calanthe is going to be treating you" A frown

"Well, I'd rather... well, I'd rather know. He's Connor's dad and Nadeen's... " Shrug.

(bzzzzzzzzzzzt. bzzzzzzzzzzzt. bzzzzzzzzzzzt.) The Baron's pocket buzzes.

D'Lorean takes it

And sees who is calling

The screen is cracked and shattered, but she can see that it has the name pop up, "Candace". Calanthe's mortal name. It would take a code to answer though.

Or perhaps a finger print, if they really wanted to - a third ring, they'd have to decide now.

"Mmmph" She says and puts it back gently "Her surliness wnts us there now"

Unanswered, the voicemail light blinks. QUITE a few voicemails, based on red number of unread messages. Before the screen flicks back to dark, and is slid away.

"Some of them are from Nadeen" Noted "But I can't unlock what she said, of course"

The satyress says "And, thanks, Dagmar. I may lose the horse and my place if Calanthe gets her way, but I've been with nothing before" And she keeps making her way towards the Silverwolf lodge, careful not to lose her baron
