"I'm a trucker" The man says with a smile

A little snerk at the ending of the story, the troll equivalent of a guffaw.

"That's cool. My uncle is a trucker, too."

"Is he kinian, kith, or merely a most blessed son of adam?" Curious

"He's a troll, too. Frank King. Quiet type."

"He's a Knight, at that. Fine man, my girlfriend's father in fact. Here, I have a picture of his Truck..." She pulls up one on her phone, there is a tall, attractive girl sunbathing on the hood of the Rig. Dagmar recognizes Siv, of course, even without the Blue...

It is a VERY well made.... truck.

"Wait, your Uncle is Sir Franklin King?" Then he looks at the picture "Amazing, that's the Dawntreader. Lovely girl, sadly also too young for me at least with this crowd watching" A grin then soberly "For the neice of Frank King, I would drive a thousand mile, or for a friend of the neice." A nod to Piper "Can you wait until the morning, I would like to rest by the balefire tonight

"

"Ye-..." She stops and checks with Piper.

She BEAMS, and is tempted to give the man a hug! Instead, she just bounces a bit. "Of course! I was going to offer to play a set tonight, too, if they wanted. Sing for my supper, as it were."

"We won't say no to that" Virgina nods

"Indeed, " The Eshu says "Can you sing that song about the hippogriff?"

"I bet Piper's music can make a long drive better, too. I'm not much of a storyteller, but I can give it a go if you want. People like about that time I jousted a car."

"I can and will!" Fetching her abandoned plate, she tucks into the rest of the burger. If she's singing for her supper later, she will enjoy it all the more!

"Jousted a car? Well I won't be bored on the trip tommorw" Marco smiles

THe food is delicious and seconds are offered.

"A Mustang, of course." Dagmar does take seconds. And dessert! Dishes are an easy price.

Time passes smoothly, even nicely. They learn about the local area, the challenges of the trod troubles here which are far worse than up north... but also get informed of some basics of the area. the locals are proud of thier county

Dagmar likes listening to the music and laughter - and she does turn up promptly in the kitchen after, to help.

PIper is a big hit, her talent a treat, though if she asks, they do Say Mickey Boyd's also very good

Dagmar's help is appreciated, and they seem very surprised when thehy discover she's not just well intentioned but knows her way around cleaning a kitchen right

"Hearth-trained, if that means anything."

"Can't say I catch the meaning but it works"

"Steward, I suppose. Thanks for letting us take haven tonight."

"Why it's the escheat, dear. We need to show nobles it's not only sidhe that follow it"

Dagmar is a considerate roommate, though she does snore (softly).

But the night does fly... and in the morning, they're in the rig. Marco knows the roads.

Dagmar takes the back berth, letting Piper get the better view and conversation vantage.

It's an interesting thing to watch two extroverts chatter , story exchanges and such, but he will want the story of how she killed a car with a lance

Dagmar is NOT a bard, and her telling tends to be simplistic and barebones, verging on understatement.

Nothing that Mr. Hollister can't touch up later

Piper asks, "Do you know Mister King, or just know OF him?" Curious how far tales of the Mountain had spread.

Oh! Dagmar perks up, she's curious about that too.

"HA, Sir King is ThE King of the Road, any kithain in the business knows him by one name or another. Rigger, Freewheeler, Frank the tank , Oakhouse Hauler, Rivervale Express, Peacock Popper, and the Big Blue F. I've met him once, but it was brief and he was in a hurry"

"Can you tell us a story of his earlier trucking days?" Piper asks shooting Dagmar a grin!

Dag smiles back, ready to listen.

The eshu did land himself a good audience, which might be worth the freight.

"Oh the further back you go, the blurrier the stories get but if you don't mind the fact it's more a tall tale... no troll pun intended, than a biography?"

“Sure!”

The tale is riveting, full of narrow escapes, bold heroics, and a tire iron used in a sword fight!

About half way there, he asks "Do you girls want something to eat?"

"I packed some snacks..."

"Well, we'll keep on trucking" he smiles "At least until I need to refill, or you two need to visit a necessary"

"You want some oatmeal cookies?"

"Love one. you want some trail mix? It's a cereal, raisin, and peanut mix"

"Nice. I have some sandwiches left, too." She digs in her backpack - apparently, Tove or Dagmar packed a fair amount of supplies. She offers snacks to Piper as well.

(Peanut butter and banana!)

It is said that an Eshu always finds adventure, yet perhaps, because they are on an adventre, no trouble arises
