"Not in an area this small, maybe a wanderer, but a roving group but they like the big cities"

"Another reason to avoid them, then."

"Definitely" He nods

Cliff gets a rag and wipes down his counters as he asks "So.... plans for your big night?"

"Visit my family" The frail one says

"Payback the guy who screwed me in life" the swole guy says

"Sounds.... ghostly."

"Did you think the stories about us were exageratted?

"

Cliff considers "Can't say I thought about it much at all."

"You can affect the world" The swolen ghost snaps, "If you couldn't, you'd care more about it"

The frail man shakes his head "Some truth to that. Which of us card so strongly until the chance was gone? Dickens was preachy, but he was right"

"I meant that I haven't spent a lot of time thinking about ghosts. I know some of the Lore, sure, but day-to-day I'm more worried about surviving in -this- world."

"Understandbile... but, if it's wealth you want, you might find the dead know how to help you get it. In exchange for favors"

The thin young man pauses. "I could be interested. Depends."

"It can be as simple as leaving flowers on a grave sight, or making sure a young one is well, or passing on a message. "

"I'm not really looking for wealth; that kind of thing could be hard to explain."

"What do you value then? Glimmer man?"

"I suppose.... information...." he suggests.

"Oh now there we might help. Most folks don't see us. " The frail fellow says "If I askedy ou to leave a note for my grand daughter, would you?"

"If I can without putting myself in danger, yes."

"What you want information on, Glimmerman? Tell me, and I'll see if I can find it so you can pass on the note"

"Mmm." Cliff thinks about it, shrugs. He writes down a name. "You see this? Can you get me dirt on this guy?"

He looks at it, "yes, If he's local..."

Cliff nods. "He is."

"How're you going to write a note?"

"I have means ... got a paper and pen?"

Cliff offers them.

And he makes a message, it takes effort, but he holds the pen wsteady enough that it comes out in old handwriting, he folds it carefully and gives her the adress "I'll go see to my side of our deal. My best chance is before Dawn"

Cliff nods. "I'll wait here for you."

"How about you?" He asks the other ghost.

"Yeah, tell someone I know they did on the third of February 2009" He gives a name

Cliff writes it down. "How about you go with your friend here, same guy, see what you can work together to find?"

"Deal..." And the ghosts move away

Cliff looks up and down the street with a critical eye; worth staying open?

To be fair, it's winding down... some might come out later but it will be a drunk and loud type

Not the first time he's served the drunk and loud; and, he has to wait for hus ghost buddies to come back.

One woman comes out "Men suck.. I'm telling you, I Hate em... all they do is use a woman, treat her like garbage..." Then she sobs on his counter "Why can't I get a boyfriend"

Ah.. mortals, at least as curiously weird as the changelings, in their way

fortuantely between tears, she buys a buffolo melt

Cliff serves food, and reserves comment.

Bussiness dies down after that. He thinks he's about to get a customer, but the guy instead pukes at the side of his truck!

Cliff sighs and gets a bucket to fill with water; he'll splash it down and give it a real wash later.

As he does that.... the ghosts return.... and with sluagh ears, he hears what they learned

And he nods. "Good deal. I'll deliver the note, and your message about February."

"You better.." The swole says

The frailer one however says "Our thanks..it means more than you know"

"Blessed Samhain."

"WHatever that is" The swole guy says

"Glimmer folk, it's one way they say halloween" the fraiil guy says "All Hallow's Eve to you"
