Elsewhere... well, the kitchen... Thistle is fussing with hot glue gun and a helmet of some variety.

She hears bustling going on in the hallways - the boggans are up to something.

They might be, but she wants to get this RIGHT.

Julius pops his head in. "There you are, Thistle. I'm about to head out with the little monsters. Did you want to come with?"

"There's a party..."

"I'm kinda old for trick or treat."

Elsewhere Briar is making sure that monster is RIGHT as she pops out and growls at Blossom. "RAWR!" Thistle can over hear... possibly along with a THUD as she is kicked at.

"Oh, sure, of course." His brow furrows a little, and, "Gladiola will be there? Sometimes Samhain brings surprises..."

"Gwen is gonna be there sucking face with Chuck, for sure. Art wants to see a 'mortal Samhain,' - so, you know. Halloween party!"

"Thistle?" Art appears... he is just wearing his normal jeans and t-shirt, with a backpack.

"Art! You can't be wearing that!"

Thistle is.. dressed up. Her voile has steampunk leanings, yes... but tonight, there's.. she has LEGS, And CLEAVAGE.

And elaborate foam-and-plastic armor.

"Okay... okay, it's fine. We can make it work. So... greek. Greek. Apollo is the sun? That's kind of star-oriented... Orion's a constellation..."

"I, uh. I figured maybe I shouldn't go. I'm no good at costumes and stuff. If I could just Wyrd something chimerical, that would be easier, but they get so FUSSY about how we interact with mortals..."

"Mom offered me a bedsheet for a toga... but..." He looks a little unenthused!

"A sheet? I can work with that!" She holds up her hot glue gun and GRINS.

Dee peeks in "Hey, did you ... well, looks like you've got a plan for a costume"

"Dee, you know if we have any zip ties around here? I have some gold spray paint left..."

"Dame Lavender! Were you going to attend the fete? Satyrs are quite welcome in Greek Mythology..."

Art is unsure about the bedsheet, but he trusts Thistle! "I had thought of Ptolemy, but who would know him..."

"Plato, or Aristarchus..."

"Yes, we have some zip ties. And Maybe... thinking of enchanting a mortal and giving chase once the mists settle in."

"I thought we weren't supposed to enchant people?"

"Apollo." Firmly. "I'm going as Icarus, so that kinda goes? And I have an idea for making sun rays..."

Dee returns with some ZIp ties "Well, Samhain sometimes we get a pass, enchanted mortals are as subject to the samhain effects as we kithain are... There we go."

She is raiding supplies. "Thanks, Dee."

"So - wait, we could enchant some jagoffs and give them what for?"

Art nods thoughtfully... thinking of a few choice 'jagoffs' who might be at the party...

She starts hot gluing the ties to a headband, forming 'rays' that are in turn painted gold.

"Happy to help. You know.. oh yeah hold on.." She returns with a sunburst..someone meant to make a Varich style, but it's not quite wavy enough to be usable

Bluebell peeks in, watches for a few moments, then returns with a small trunk of fabric pieces! There are bits and bobs, silk and lace and tulle - she makes her own outfits for her ballet performances, after all...

"Well, there are RULES and rules..." The satyress admits "But it's one night where you get a lot more slack"

A bent wire hanger, cardboard, twine & tape (and MORE gold paint) become a bow, while a paper tube and Art's belt become a quiver...

"Ooo, that could go on the... Bluebell, can I use that lame' for a cape?"

"Only if you use every last bit, mind you. Waste not, want not." Bluebell says with a wink.

"I think I can do that..." Arty doesn't get ASKED, really...

Bluebell helps! She has measuring tapes, and pins and thread. She does not get in the way, she manages to be very inobtrusive... but does tack a bit of fabric HERE, offer a measurement THERE...

"Eep!" Arty jumps, he got poked with a pin.

Bluebell looks innocent.

Dee looks amused, then glances over at Bluebell, "Nice outfit.. anyone seen the bosses?"

Instead, he is draped and pinned and belted. The Varich brooch holds the gold cape at his shoulder. The sheet becomes an exomis. A few bits of foliage from a fake bouquet are transformed into a laurel wreath.

Bluebell beams at Dee. "Not for ages and ages. Isn't it grand?"

"Oh our winter lords are set on dethaw?" Dee is wicked

It seems that the nockerish gift for improvisation applies to last-minute costumes. This isn't 'Fine Art" or trying to fix something - in not thinking about how this might be seen as creating, it seems Thistle has let herself loose.

"Outfit's looking good" Dee observes
