Tylart snorts "They've made enemies of ME"

"Hear hear." August nods and puts a hand on Tylar's shoulder. "I'm proud of you."

"We needs must be ready for them when they strike."

"I'll put what else I can together... " Magnus says taking copies of the scratches "Whatever you do, don't tell Miss Zara about this"

Instantly alert. "Why?"

"Because she'll soon realize she'd being left out and end up solving the mystery for free just to spite us. Really, I think I could get my word load done by half under this system" His son beams

Squire Tylar frowns "Sir, that's not very nice"

"Oh father you've ruined the lad, he's no fun at all anymore " Sir Magnus tells the Baron

August has a small smile on his lips. "Tylar is just fine, Magnus."

"Fine fine, but it's amazing what lengths that woman will go to out of pure contrariness" Magnus grins

He might not even realize it, but August's grin answers.

"MISS Zara has her ways, and sluagh ways are jus as old as Sidhe ways, begging your pardon Lord and knight. "

Tylar says this , protective of the kith as he IS dating one

"My apologies" Magnus bows

"No need to beg my pardon; I happen to agree with you."

Magnus sighs "Let's go.. the party is about to end big" A pause "oh did any of you pay that guy at the door?"

"Yes." Of course he did.

"He paid for us both" Tylar says

"Right." And Magnus pulls out a wallet that does not look like his "Here. 20 for you, twenty for you"

"No, Magnus, no..... it's fine!"

"Seriously I picked off that little hoodlum for nothing?" Magnus says

"You attacked the bouncer??"

"No. I picked pocketed him and that was a scam, this party is illegal, and I didn't feel bad about it."

August sighs. "It wasn't necessary."

"But was fun" Magnus says "Let's go"

August nods and walks out with Magnus and Tylar.

And that's that for the night.. or so it seems

Adam slept hard, with an odd dreams about climbing steps

He nuzzles closer to Nab, not that there's much room on the couch to get away.

When he wakes..she looks better but still stiff in the shoulder "mmm?"

"Hey." He smiles, sleepy. "How're you feeling?"

"Mmm good" She says "Well, better"

"Good." He stretches carefully, testing.

Oh much better, his side doesnt feel like it's lancing. A bit tender, but that's it

He grins and checks it out.

Mmm he doesn't want to get punched there today

"Cool." Another stretch, and cuddle.

"ooo ow" Nab says as he cuddles her

"Oh, I'm sorry!" he gentles. "So sorry, Nab. You hungry or anything?"

"Oh I would love to do things to you and charge up but no.. I'm good-ish"

"I'm ok with that agenda." he grins.

He kisses her.

A nice kiss back, a bit wanting, but slow, then she parts "Hey, you rescued me!" As if this is just now sinking in

"Yeah. Of course."

"But.. what about Alanza? What if she got knifed?"

"She didn't."

"Yes but you chose to save me over her.." A touched look "And. " A breath "You probably shouldn't have, Adam."

"Didn't really have a choice, Nab. 'Sides, there were three of us and three of them. And one of the us was me, so the odds were in our favor." Cocky grin.

"You did have a choice. Stripe was the enemy you knew and he was over Alanza"
