CF PENNONS

The Redcaps turn, then scowl "it's the kill joy"

"Yeah, big blue boyscout" The other grumbles

"Damn liams" The other says

"Leave."

"Pennons is open to everyone, asshole" One says

"Ok." Frank steps back, then turns his back, and heads towards the Count's tent.

"The fuck you saying YOU know the Count?"

..... walking.....

"We didn't DO nothing man..." A scowl "Not here anyway"

GWEN is offering wipes to Briar "I can't believe you ate them all.. how are you not SICK?"

..... walking.....

And FRANK comes up to a guard "I'm afraid the Count's not available at this time, Sir Franklyn. Is the matter of immediate importance?" The Count's tent does look closed

"I have news, first person evidence, of assault on a mortal by Fae in his lands."

Half-hidden behind a mountain of funnelcakes she is working through, Briar pauses, and tugs at Gwen's arm (smearing her with a bit of powdered sugar). "Hssst. Shome shport going down?" She sounds wary rather than amused, though.

"Yeah, some other redcaps.. and a troll guy talking to the guards. Holy snot. I think that's the COUNT'S tent..." Trying to remembeer her heraldry lessons

The Guard frowns "I'll pass it on, Sir Frank. Are the criminals in question here now?"

"Maybe they're being arreshted. Let'sh watch." Another handful of cakes slowed down by her brace/headgear, and she drifts a bit closer.

Frank looks behind him.

And the redcaps appear to be gone

The redcaps are NOT gone...

but they are now hiding.. around a corner tent furhter out, and BRIAR can see them

She also recognizes a possible Ambush

Frank? Frank doesn't see them. What he makes of that is his biz

"No."

A pint-sized redcap with a spiked and barb-wire brace standing by a stone-skilled troll lass are watching, not too discretely on the redcap's end. She mutters up at Gwen. "Here, watsch - they're gonna wait for him to turn the corner." An observer, as if this is the Nature channel.

"Wait, shouldn't we do something?" Gwen whispers.

The Guard nods "Give me the descriptions, Sir Frank. We'll keep an eye out."

"Why?" She looks confused. "There'sh three of them and one of him, but he'sh bigger and looksh TOUGH." "If there wash more folk we could do bets."

"Wait, a troll can take on THREE redcaps?" She eyes Briar "This is not news you've shared"

Frank gives them the descriptions... and a direction of movement.

"Well, no, he won't win." She allows. "But it will be fun to watchsh."

The guard , dutiful, makes sure to spread this with other guards, leaving Frank to go

GWEN frowns "I think my definition of fun and yours are a bit different , Briar."

Frank watches all the effort.... and nods. He goes back to unpacking the trucks.

As Frank moves by, Briar can almost guess how those three are about to jump him as he heads to the trucks.

"It'sh not like he'sh one of US though."

"He'sh some foresht troll. We're shilver wolvesh." Briar glances up at Gwen, suddenly looking a little unsure. Maybe Gwen doesn't want to me associated with her. A scowl hides her uncertainty as she turns back to watch.

"No, but..." GWEN Ponders then says "BUT.. if we save his ass, he owes us, right? "

That she ponders, licking her fingers clean of sugar and then cracking her knuckles. "I could go for a rumble."

Frank feels the hairs on his neck bristle. He hears whispering from one area... and sees a shadow looming out from one area. Behind another tent, he hears the sound of metal sliding against cloth. And yeah, that feels like trouble

Frank turns to face it.

Tire tapper at the ready.

Briar looks up at Gwen, and shrugs her shoulders, pops coming from there as well, and she grins gruesomely through her barbed-wire smile. "Fine, I'm in."

Frank readies himself... but the Flash of glamour means the Redcaps are breaking dross to fuel a group quicksilver! They blur towards him with the vengeance , carrying blackjack like instruments!

Frank's beard moves and he draws a very large sword, something a mighty warrior might wield..... and he addresses those redcaps.

And they try to put a stamp on HIS Adress... as battle begins!

Gwen calls out "SILVERWOLF , the Howl is Heard! The Fangs Felt! Know the fear of the Hunted!" And hoping Briar is with her, barrels into the nearest enemy redcap

"Now what the futch ish that, they'll KNOW YOU'RE COMING!" Briar complains, but heaves into motion after her. Shorter, but stocky, she barrels for the legs of whoever she might knock down into mauling range. "RIP AND TEAR!"

As it turns out, before the girls have even really closed the distance, Sir Franklyn ap Liam, Mountain, Husband, Father, Trucker, and sometimes Grillmaster of outdoors Manly Meat Burn Rituals, has already beheaded (Chimerically) the first enemy redcap with one mighty strike after side stepping that guy's attempt to wallop!
