"Hey, thank you for allowing me to try again," he counters "And it's too soon to say, but I'm guessing this works better for you? Going to the places when you can. Learning how the history relates to the music in order to be more passionate about the history even if only a little?"

She thinks over this for a moment. “Well, the musical aspect DEFINITELY speaks my language. But I think that even without that, seeing and EXPERIENCING is so much better than a book, I DO try but it gets dull and I lose interest in the classroom. Maybe more field trips might work for others too...”

"You might end up having company, " He nods "And, there might be some lying about just how folks studied. Hard to explain to the authotiries how you were at this or that city when they thought you were in Jersey"

Adam waits, watching. For Alanza.

No alanza comes

He checks the time.

Geez, four hours

He shifts in place, and waits. Watching.

"Everything okay?" Nab, small, flies up

"Hey, Nab." Adam offers a kiss, on a tiny hand or cheek. "I guess? Alanza went out with this guy and I.... I'm worried. I'm waiting for her."

"Why? She's a big girl"

"I know."

"And she can take care of herself and .... I know. But this guy.... I'm just worried."

"Wait, who is this guy?" She says "Sounds like you know him"

"Yeah." He tells her about him; happily, she was in NJ too so she has some basis of understanding.

"Wait, the same creep who tried to get that girl at the gloaming drunk or something and lead her off? And then later threatened yoru mom?"

"Yeah." Adam is NOT happy.

"No wonder you're worried"

"Yeah. I want to go after her, you know? Find her? But......"

"But you don't know where they are dating"

"Yeah. I don't know where they are. I mean... I want to just grab keys and go out, look around, find her.... "

"But it's not that small a city" Nab ponders

"Should I go?" he looks at her.

"You don't know where TO go , Adam." She lands on his shoulder "maybe someone could help you find her?"

He puts his hand on his shoulder near her; he avoids crushing Lil Nab, but seeks contact. "Yeah. Maybe."

After a long moment he asks. "Is there magic that can do that? Find her?"

"SURE.. Tattletale is basicaly crystal ball stuff" She says

He turns his head away.

"Adam?"

"I guess. Yeah. Worth it." He looks back.

"I guess..... who should I talk to?" Adam strokes her little leg.

"Well, I guess the Seer sees."

"The -Seer-?" It hurts, but he stands. "Ok. Yeah. Hey.... come with me?"

"You okay?" They walk towards the seer.. only to see.. Minerva come out of the room

"Yeah, I ...." he sees Minerva. He nods. "Lady."

"Ah, Master Adam" She inclines her head "If you're looking for the Seer I'm afraid he's not in right now. Can I help you? take a note or something?"

"I found her! " A voice yells as Tylar races around the corner "I mean, I know where she is we have to go"

"No.... what!??! Yeah!?!?" Adam races away (balancing Nab) towards Tylar. "Alanza??"

"Yes.. do you still have the keys to Sir Bachdion's car? It's a book a million store that was closed. There's a rave.. she's in trouble"

"SHIT! No, I gave them back.... SHIT!"

Adam looks ready to RUN there.

"I have a van" a voice

And they turn to see.. Minerva holding up keys , not in easy reach "The seer lent me his"

"Oh. Fuck." Adam sighs and his head drops.

Nab says "We have wheels, Adam, isn't that good?"

"Yeah. Yeah it is." Adam sighs and looks up. "Can we have the keys?"

Squire Tylar says "Ah, you're a fledge, Lady Minerva, it wouldn't be safe to-"

"I'll drive" Minerva says "I remember how to do that. Come on" She turns and starts to head outside "And don't give me that fledge talk, Squire. Adam isn't exactly sained either"

"Nab, can you get big?"

He starts to follow.
