Alanza gets into the car "Is this car yours?"

"Yeah. Had to figure out how to get it here but.... well, there are worse things than being stuck in a car with your dad for two days. I guess."

"oh that must be awful" She says tutting... then smirks "your POOR Dad"

Adam snerts. "Hey!"

She laughs softly "No it's cool you and he are tight enought you can make a trip like that. Ready when you are"

And off they go.....

And go.....

And go.....

It's about an hour's drive.

while they drive, she talks about her training but puts a lively spin on it.. "So there the beagles were, chasing after Thistlesnort hoping to get the sausage links but somehow that Basselopee was faster..."

"T-snort is pretty motivated for sausages."

"Dame Leonora says his biggest weakness is buttered poptarts but I guess sausage links work too"

"-Buttered- poptarts??"

"Sounds like a heart risk to me" She says "But she says it's his favorite"

"That's.... pretty extra, yeah."

"Oh yeah, but it was still hilarious to watch. "

A chuckle. "I bet. So.... like, tell me about yourself?"

"Oh what's to tell?" She grins "My real story isn't as interesting as the stuff I could make up"

"I thought pooka had some animal features.... or is your tail just covered up?" a cheeky grin right back.

"My tail stays covered. First date "She smiles "Okay. Let's see... my father and mother both travel a lot, but after a time I realized they weren't traveling together.. and not just because of the job thing" the smile fades "But I did love it when I could travel with either of them. I christylized near the St. Lous Arch.. and man that was a mixed bag. Lots of banal people, yet folks dream about it..and.. next thing I knew I was on this crazy thrill ride It took time, but I found out who and what I was when another changeling found me and helped me out. " A tilt "or did you mean about myself like what I like? Favorite color or that sort of thing?"

He looks a little wistful, but says "Yeah, I'd like to know that stuff too."

"Well, clearly I like action movies" She smiles "I mean, romances and rom coms are nice... but I just like seeing folks leap off buildings that are exploding behind them."

"This is that new mutant movie.... is that ok?"

"Oh... that trailer looked spooky. Yeah, sure!"

He grins. "Good!"

"Superheroes here we go"

"What about music? You like to dance?"

"Wait, you dance?" Surprised look

"Well yeah. And I'm learnin the court stuff."

"Wow. See, this is one thing I love about being a changeling. Guys you meet are not afraid of dancing, and some of them are really good at it" She smiles "Not that i'm up on my ballroom fancy dancing, but still. Awesome on you"

"Hey, I'll try anything once!"

"You know? I bet you might" she says "That could be dangerous for me. We Eshu can be reckless"

"People say the same thing about Fiona." He points out. "I mean.... I'm supposed to be Fiona-blooded."

"That might explain yeah. " A nod "Fiona are a special kind of crazy but it does give them sex appeal" Alanza winks "Yup. We could be very bad for each other" She looks at the road then says "Could be fun"

"Willing to try if you are." Adam says, glancing at her when he can.

"Movie first, mischief maybe later" She smiles as their destination comes into view "Wow, more cars than I thought there would be. Good thing we didn't cut it closer"

Adam smiles and drives up. He taps his phone to pay and confirms the order for movie treats, to be picked up in a drive-through before they go to their space. Popcorn, sodas, and a candy treat. He goes for chocolate.

Alanza apparently likes Diet Coke and popcorn.

Done and done!

She has to manage the refreshments while he drives and parks, and then he can help sort things out.

"Did you get extra butter?" She says "it's okay, the Diet coke cancels it out" As if this is a cosmic truth

"I think so. Try it and if there isn't enough, I'll go get more."

"Ah, how sweet" She beams

They arrange things and snuggle in together.

His arm around her, her head on his shoulder if she likes. At some point he might unobtrusively take a gentle sniff of her hair, her scent.

And the commercials start "Gah. My folks tell me there was a time where the only real commercials were trailers for other movies, or maybe to go get refreshments. Such myths are hard to believe"

"I mean.... if the quizes and stuff were -good-, maybe but...."

"right?" she says with a sigh "These are not exactly mentally stimulating"

"Mmm. I hope the movie's ok at least."
