Pippin who likes EVERYONE, looks at the woman below with ire.

"Dame Hazel is training hard" he says

"You know what Dame Hazel and Edwin can turn to for help when they need a new place?" Thoughtful

"I thought this place needed them" he sighs

"Both."

"Nothing we can do... " the kinian says "Wish it weren't so. Come on, let's ride and get the horses in better tempers"

A scowl. "That's not... there has to be something..."

A kick of her heels to start Pippin - perhaps a bit sharp.

"Maybe, but it's not happening today" Heath starts to say

Pippin takes this as an excuse to break into a run, not from pain, but to burn off a shared anger

"Careful" heath says and starts Thorn up to keep near

"Ack!" She's surprised, but works on keeping her seat.

Heath catches up, and slows them down "Okay okay... horses take that kind of ''talk' seriously so don't do it if you don't mean it, okay?" Not mad, just making sure it's sinking in.

"Yeah.. yeah... I kicked too hard, I think..."

"He doesn't seem hurt, but yeah.." Heath nods and pats Pippin. Pippin holds no grudges, but Heath suggests "Let's go dismount and you can feed him a carrot or something to show no hard feelings okay?"

"Okay..."

A look down, hesitation.

"Don't worry, I'll show you how to dismount, we tkae a break, let the horses rest, and maybe go again if we have time" He assures and leads her to do just that. Dismounting feels a bit odd, but with guidance, is no trouble

"...Thanks." Now on solid ground.

"What if you got a bunch of trolls as part of the hold?"

"And... remove the saddle..." He shows "And...carrot"

While she feeds the carrot, he says "Uhm.. they still might lose even if they qualified and no trolls are signing up... Liam hold remember?"

"But... if I tell them you need help... I mean, if I tell Chief, maybe..."

"Chief's a baroness and a Gwydion."

"But this isn't her hold so she can't champion it...the Duchess has that rule in place just to keep folsk from using rings to seize holds. That rule isn't expiring. IT's... it's okay, Dagmar. It's not...this isn't your problem" he says

"So maybe there are folks that need a hold to join? We have a month, right?"

Heath shrugs "You have a home, a hold , it's okay. We have a little over a month sure.."

"So? You have to TRY!"

"They are trying, they will try... " He says a bit of a scowl forming "Didn't your hear when I said she was practicing every day?"

"I heard."

"Well..." he shrugs haplessly

"But.. I mean, you've already given up!"

"I am a mixed up mortal kinian... " he reminds "Not a legend in flesh. I am doing my best and I'm sorry if it's not good enough for..." A deep breath "I Help the horses. I help the kids. I make a difference. And I'm proud of that. I dont' care how tall you are, don't you look down on me" A frown

Jaw-jut. "I'm not!"

"I just... this isn't fair. There has to be something that'll help..."

His features soften, "maybe there is, but for now, we have to live in today, and not a month and some from now.okay? Maybe Dame Hazel has more ideas she hasn't told me about. You never know"

A gusty sigh. "Yeah..."

"OH! Maybe Tove could write a song? SOmething to draw people here?"

"It's not a matter of business though. We're doing okay. It's a matter of fae law... so a youtube clip to draw tourists isn't going..." He pauses "You mean, a song among freeholds and such?" He had not thought of that
