A surprised look at the paint gun. "For real? Hunting sentient chimera?"

"Only to capture and relocate. " He assures her. "We place them in wilder areas. Under bridges, on cliff sides, in the ruins of old buildings that look temple like... maybe one or two at the knothole of an old oak"

"So...got it. Places where riddle games kind of fit."

"Exactly" He pumps few more into the air "That's right, listen up, you primitive clueheads! This is my MAKE ROOM STick!" As he does his best Ash of the Evil Dead movies impersonation. This would appear to be part of the patrol... but Sylvi can be forgiven a laugh or three

Some of what comes after wont' be so...melodramatic.

While Kerri and Brogan are engaging in a baking-skills test in the kitchen, Brekke wedges herself into the phone closet, and dials....sigh...Mr. Stodgepole.

A female voice picks up, "Hello? CC speaking..."

A blink. "My apologies. I am trying to reach...." she hesitates.

A saucy voice, "Brekke? is that you? Hey, let me see if he's around. I just picked up his phone ... how are you?"

She clears her throat. "It is. I am well, Ms. CC. And...yes...please."

"I'm doing well, we're quite happy with things nice, relaxed and jazzy. Clean living is good for us..." A pause "Well, mostly clean" A throaty chuckle "Hope you and yours are thriving? How's Frank?" She cups the phone for a sec but Brekke can still here "Baaabyy? You're not going to believe this."

A lower voice in the background, muffled.

"Fine. Thank you." The beauty about being a troll is that you can sound socially cold without people taking it personally...they assume it's just awkwardness.

And "here he is" Shuffling sound and... (Take it away when you can)

"Hello?"

"Mr. Stodgepole." A tense tone, moreso now because of the awkward and unexpected pre-conversation. "It is Brekke."

William exchanges a look callidora

" yes. How may I be of assistance?

CC shrugs and mouths "maybe she's drunk?"

His usual trademark Jolly tone, and as mystified shrug to CC.

"We need to meet and speak again. The same topic as the last time. We would like to introduce you to another party."

" another party? Formal or semi-formal?"

"Better be a plus one" CC mutters

A puzzled pause. "Like the last time we spoke."

" at the club! Capital! I take it you will be you and Mister King plus one. I will be plus one as well." He reaches to take CC's hand.

"Yes. And a time that is not busy would be best."

" we are dark on Monday, and closed until lunch the rest of the week."

"Monday, then. About noon."

" I'm sure we look forward to it! See you then. Monday. High Noon.

A pause. "As you say. Thank you. Good bye."

In Rivervale, a troubled Chieftain extricates herself from the phone closet, shakes her head, and goes to tell her trueheart that the meeting is set.

CC looks over at EBG at the Club "So help me, if that nordic temptress pulls you back into the old life..." A tapping hoof.

William gives calidora a look as he hangs up the phone. " oh my.

He Chuckles." The baroness is hardly a temptation. Now, that cook of hers..... Ah, but that was many moons ago."

"Oh huney, you can have any of them any time you want.. I know two different types of disguise spells" She gestures looking like Brekke in a French maid outfit, snaps her fingers and cracks the whip as Kerri the Dom

He barks a laugh and beckons her closer. " I think I prefer the original. Less chance of being delightfully squashed." He Waggles his eyebrows at her.

She shifts to her own sultry form "Flatterer, but you never know...I might fall on you from a great height" She kisses him "Fine, we'll meet her, see what she wants. Some Gwydion intrigue, no doubt, not that they ever call it that"

" intrigue indeed." He scoffs, and pulls her into his lap.

Into his lap she goes "Just saying.. I don't want her yanking you into something too iffy even as she fusses at you"

"I -have- acknowledged a debt to her, 20 years ago. I suspect she feels it is time to collect, and the matter must be desperate." He settles her into his arms and strokes his short beard. "I wonder what it could be...."

"Family or Barony I suspect" She says "She'll not use it for herself lightly, she's not wired that way"

"Agreed. I have not heard of seismic events in Bergen.... so, family? She is bringing Frank and.... plus one. Hmmm?"
