"I do not take orders from Vali" A snort "I'm ungrounded you goob. I gave you a car ride. I want a flicker a flash escort"

"Fine.. I have to do EVERYTHING" Gerd grumbles

Siv nods "Simply everything... oh, reminds me, Earth will need rotating later tonight... ready to rope the moon ? Keep it in orbit"

A GLARE from the younger wilder.

Siv seems not to notice it "So..you know New Orleans. We got there"

"Why?" Gerd says

"Because I want to buy something for mom and dad... and they'll never see New Olreans coming. Chop Chop"

Gerd grouses "Chop Chop sounds like a racist thing against Chinese"

"no, racist would be saying that five minutes I'll want to flickerflash again. Chop Chop means hurry." Siv ssays "So..."

"Fine!" and they both vanish

Samantha finds herself stepping into her dad's workplace, a convenience store

She snags a bag of combos - pretzels and cheese!

She notices another girl, wearing what look to be good will cast offs, eying some twizlers

A grunt/up-nod for the girl.

Her dad sees her "Got grape , Lime and Cherry restocked if you're interested"

"Hey! Great!"

Sluuuussshhhhiiiiieeeeeeeee. She carefully layers lime and cherry in bright stripes.

As Jaymes smiles watching his daughter... only the reflective material of the slushie machine allows Sam to notice the bedraggled girl sneaking a candy bar into her pocket

She frowns, but doesn't say anything.

The girl walks up with twizlers, but now that she's looking, Dagmar suspects more than one candy bar in those pockets.

"..Hey." Another frown.

"I was just wondering on the price of the twizlers" SHe says to Jaymes

"One dollar for that" he says, glancing at Sam curious at her hey

"And how much for the candy bars?" Jaw-jut.

"I.. uh..." the girl eyes the door, then tries to bolt for it!

"Oh, come on, don't be stupid..." Frustrated.

Jaymes leaps over the counter with a speed that belies his years, takes one long stride and catches the girl

"RAPE!" The girl yells.

Startling Jaymes into letting go just for a moment

Dagmar's eyes go red. "How dare you!"

The girl is not waiting to be chewed out, that moment where she is free, she pushes the door open and runs

Dagmar bolts after her, furious.

The girl is quick, but the parking lot makes this a flat run and Dagmar leaps over the pothole that slows the thief, allowing her to snag the candybar burgluer with a firm hand!

A growl and a punch.

The girl spins with a bloody nose spraying and she goes down on her ass "Stop I'll give them back...I was just hungry"

Jaymes has come out after the two girls

Dagmar... stops.

She's breathing heavy, blood smear across her knuckles.

"I ..just geez" She says reaching into her pockets. Three candy bars, plus the twizzlersin her hands.

Jaymes walks over, and puts a hand on Dagmar's shoulder "Ok, Sam. Thanks. I got it from here."

"She shouldn't have called you that."

"No, she shouldn't have. " He bends down and takes the candy bars and the twizlers up , looking at the girl , he grunts and with a free hand pulls out a clean cloth "Put your nose against this."

The girl glares "You gonna call the cops?"

A sullen glare back.

Well, Sam is a better Glare-er, and the girl's glare dims

"Maybe youd' eat better if I did," Jaymes grunts

"Dad, don't..."
