"Oh...um..." She lowers her voice and leans in. "Something about the baroness putting a lust spell on Sir August, so he, um, has lots of other lovers besides her." A tone caught between apology and curiosity.

He almost snorts into the straw "Nono.. I... " he whispers 'No, he was actually very reserved when he met her... and I don't know the details but while they've gotten a bit wild, no spell just... Fiona education is the real story, and even then I don't know too much. Sir Bachdion could teach a guy how to wow almost any girl."

"Sir Bachdion? I...don't know if I've met him...?"

"Oh uh. he's a Fiona. A mentor of sorts.." A sip "What else are they saying?"

"Mm." She accepts the explanation with another careful sip. "Well...one said something about liking the regent...that's Lady Sparrow, right?...but that something seemed odd about something. It had to do with somebody becoming Baron, so I guess they were referring to Sir August. But it wasn't really clear."

"Oh." He frowns "I don't know... see, if he marries, a fae wedding? She has the right to elevate him to a baron... but some might see that as a dig on the regent... not sure."

"Oh...because she's a baroness, too." Sylvi puts it together. "That's awkward."

"Yep. It could be" He says "Mhy liege is a good leader and.. a warrioress born. I like Sir August but.. " A sigh "Well somethings aren't for me to decide and I will abide by what ever my liege says"

She watches him a minute, then switches the subject. "Some of them are saying I must be the girl you talk about all the time."

"Must be" he says, a bit of a smile at that

"Better be," she replies, then winks.

He leans over their nearly finished (Wow they took it faster than she thought) treat and kisses her, then when they part "Yes, I brag about how beautiful my girlfriend is."

Oh, she's very pleased with that. He gets another kiss as a reward. "Thank you for that."

"I actually worried it would get me in trouble" He admits "You know... showing you off when you're not here." But he smiles

"Get you in trouble...with me?"

"Who else would I worry about?" he says

A grin. "I don't mind. I mean...maybe that makes me shallow, but...it's nice." A final sip of the shake.

"Well, then I'm glad I do it." He grins "But if your dad heard how I bragged about you, he might burst a blood vessel."

She rolls her eyes a bit. "He's not that bad."

"Actually, he's pretty cool. " A sigh "If he was a jerk who didn't do anything awesome I wouldn't stress about impressing him"

That earns another smile. "Yeah...my folks are pretty amazing, even if they're sometimes really, really annoying."

"They are..." He says "Heck, maybe they should come here for a shake sometime. "

"Oh, I bet mom would get obsessed with trying to figure out the recipe."

"All the more reason" A laugh "Sorry, your mom will just have to be the best at every OTHER type of food. "

"You know...I'm okay with that. If I had access to these all the time, I'd be a blimp."

"Where do we go next?"

"Well, next," he says " Thought we might head towards a small park. Reports of Chimera panhandling for riddles. Darn pains in the butt"

Sylvi thanks Vernon and waves to the rest of the staff as they leave. "Panhandling for riddles? How does that even work?"

"They won't leave you alone until you answer a riddle... or give them one. Yanking at you, blocking your path... We've gotten lots of compaints" He explains "Bet you don't have riddle panhandlers in Rivervale."

"Not that I've ever heard of. What do they look like?"

"All sorts of forms, it's more the behavior than the looks. One looks like a sphinx with a squeegee"

That image startles a laugh from her.

"oh it's funny, but wait till you have to deal with it" //As they hit the park, sure enough, a chimera gets in her face, looking like a raven in a trench coat "Why IS a Raven Like a Writing desk?"

She smiles. "I actually know this one," she says to Colton. "Should I?"

"Sure, but it won't help as soon as hyou give one they hassle you for me.."

"Wellll...." She can't resist, and she says to the chimera, "Because they both swoop with a flap."

"ooo.. that's good" the Chimera says "But 32 horses upon a white hill..."

"Teeth," she interrupts, then turns to her boyfriend. "Mom read me all sorts of nursery riddles when I was little."

"What happens if you miss one?"

Suddenly a half dozen other chimera swarm her... A sphinx sticks a squeegee in her face. A crone with a rolling pin... an MC Escher creation.. all come at her, all asking riddles.. at the same time! Some others ask FOR Riddles from her...new riddles... one creature that looks like a unicorn with a screw for a horn trots up "Something with Virginity as the answer?"

That's clearly a bit overwhelming. "I...don't..." Frazzled for a moment, then a frown. "ENOUGH." A solid troll order...or at least an attempt at one.

"Ooo what comes after D nuff!" One guesses!

A pained look at that, and she turns to Colton. "Well... they're all here. What next?"

A LOUD Whistle and Colton follows it up with "OKAY, show's over...cease and desist, no more than one riddle collector per ten squre feet, and you are to immeditely backup when everyone says or I am empowered to.. and I quote, mark you for the next Chimerical Hunt.." He pulls out a paint gun "And this doesn't wash off. Now SCRAM"
